But when it comes to farming, I will bother and ill tell you why.

I've been an f2p twink since early 2011, and I have at some point obtained every blue/green drop from all 10-25 zones (besides Shadowfang and Assassins Blade).

Although, I always seem to drop them or let them go due to all my PvP materials taking up a majority of my bag space and therefore, when that item becomes useful/BiS again, I don't have it around.

The BiS has changed every year that I've been on wow and every year I farm for the best new gear, new quests, new scaling, new items, stat changes etc etc.

Don't forget, blizzard has decided to make expansions more often to keep their game going, so we can expect these changes more often, which makes longer for us f2ps to adapt seeing as we cannot use an auction house etc.

If I take some of the best items in general and enchant them all, I will be more prepared every year to adapt to the new meta.

As an f2p that has all the rare alchemy recipes, I do not want to drop 2 professions at a time and lose them. And doing one profession at a time requests me to hold alot of materials at once therefore wasting alot of bag space.

Don't get me wrong, I will be picky with the gear I choose, but feet of lynx was BiS at one point in time so there is a chance they can bring it back, the fact that its a possible chance is valid, I will chest farm it whilst I que for Battlegrounds, that isn't the only thing I'm farming though, anything that seems like it has the 'potential' to go BiS I will farm.

Not sure what you're saying here. All gear scales to iLvl 34 regardless of character level.

I just mention this because I haven't seen the link to the official in this thread. People speculated whether this was or wasn't intended, so the link indicated the scaling change has indeed been intended.
 
If this scaling thing sticks I have a feeling this could be the BiS dagger for rogues Talon of Vultros - Item - World of Warcraft.

This item is a blue rare at lvl 7, one of the lowest level blue items, with already 2 agil and 1 crit, it will scale well.

And a slow dagger with a speed of 2.0 which is a perfect heavy handed dagger for the main hand.

Its obtainable by a rare spawn called 'vultros', a bird flying around throughout westfall. This rare spawn is the only thing that can drop this item, and even so, wowhead says it has a drop rate of 0.02%.

Any further information on this item is appreciated, if anyone has come across it, do not vendor it, go into a battleground and tell me the scaling stats asap.

Oh and a heads up, I read hotfixes and it says that there going to tweek some of the item level scaling back, whatever that means.

"Battlegrounds and Arenas

An item now needs to be at least item level 560 or above before being eligible to be scaled up to 650 in level 100 Battlegrounds and Arenas."

The purpose of that is so that you can't roll into endgame with fully enchanted prideful gear, then add the neck, back, and ring enchants. At level 100 you're only supposed to have the new neck, back, and ring enchants.

I saw nothing in the notes about low level changing.
 
It says that there was an issue with the scaling of lower level battlegrounds, and that they either changed it or were going to change it.

Is this what you are referring to? If so, This already happened last week. Prior to that hotfix, Looms were double scaling in BGs and nothing was scaling in skirmishes.

Talon of vultros is gf'd since cata I believe, I don't think they removed the mob but it doesn't drop from them anymore(like walking boots and marissa du paige)

Well at least it's being addressed. They've fixed the end game aspect. RFC drops are no longer superior to any of your WoD dungeon grinds lol. No word on the rest of the 99 levels. But I could see them leaving it, they don't really care what you wear as you level.

I'll generate a new list and update with everyone's post, sorry for the delay. Hopefully I get some time to do that tonight. Thanks all.

Another guy on Ursin has had it drop in the last few days. According to him the scaled stats are 16 - 31, 11.75 dps, 6 agi, 2 crit.
 
I know I am late with this, but I have wanted to help you somehow. So I have generated a list of all available items from wowhead.com. Maybe you can use it.

- all rares and heirloom items
- URLs added
- categorized by slots and armor-weapon types
- ordered by item levels (desc)
- grandfathered items marked
- you can replace colors with a text editor

- no greens yet :(
