glad to see my eu brethren still as wild and passionate about twinking, long live the competition! saxx and lucas too i guess, they might as well b eu too tho
the amount of effort required to beat GSC is ridic compared to the prizepool.
Look at TC 2016. The amount of effort put into the game to beat SR was completely retarded. It's gonna be the same thing all over again.
When I created the Twink Cup three years ago I never even dreamed that it would succeed as much as it did. My only intentions were to revive the bracket, promote competition, and provide hope and joy to anyone who cared about the community or relied on it as much as I did.
Leading up to the second Twink Cup I began to dream of an even greater hope than the growth of guilds and the friendships contained within, or the expansion of the community with the rivalries and camaraderie that would bring.
I dreamed of something greater than the respect and recognition that's earned as you better yourself as a player through fierce competition, and I dreamed of something even greater than the glory of victory itself.
I dreamed that I was building a future for the community that I loved.
I dreamed of professional team sponsorships and community broadcasters, packed exhibition centers, famous streamers from our community, and of the Twink Cup turning into a broad media platform that would be able to provide real opportunities for success for people in our community.
Many of you shared my dreams and I think the real problem with the community right now isn't item scaling or the meta or the bracket merge, it's that the dream is dead.
The NWL is going to be switching their focus to end game because there's a greater chance of success there, but if we want our community to thrive as a twinking community I think we need to try to focus more on the core values of the original Twink Cup than the lofty hopes and dreams of the later ones.
The goal of this league won't be to create a professional quality stream or "quality content", and people won't be excluded if they can field a team that adheres to the rules. The goal is to promote activity, competition, and growth within the bracket.
Blueprint donated $200 from his share of the last Twink Cup to the community, I'll be adding that to the majority of my half of the website earnings to host a 6 week WSG tournament over the next 2 months.
If this season goes well I'll try to keep this league going throughout the year.

Teams can substitute up to 3 players from outside of their roster per game as long as the substitute players aren't on a different team. The first 4 teams to sign up will be included in the tournament. Sign ups will be counted from the time of the last edit, not the time that they were posted.
MEjt mikeross is cataclysmic glad and raided with envy hes a pr0 af player. This guys probs some noname bad that wanted the name cyanerdx but it was taken rofllll
i think the teams will be gsc, your team, and the leaders of D19 (maybe not sure, there seemed to be talk of them making their own team). not sure about the 4th. I can think of a few people to maybe get together for the 3rd/4th team even though ive never been a good wsg player it would atleast be a team .
It really is a shame that the site focuses so much on 19's since 29's offer much more CC and utility. Healers have more heals and dispels.
It is what it is though.
