FoTM classes and tiers (for now)

This is from my experience right now, so please correct me if i'm wrong in the replies.

Damage ( 4 tiers)

God tier : Feral Druid, Arms warrior, Combat Rogue, Ret paladin (the Flavour of the Month classes, really OP right now.)

Tier 1: Balance druid, demo warlock, Destruction warlock, Assassination rogue, Guardian Druid, Sub and Assassin Rogue (really good, not as good as the god tier)

1.5 Tier : MM hunter, Survival hunter, Fury warrior ( Classes that have much stronger than tier 2, but aren't strong enough for tier 1)

Tier 2: Arcane mage, Frost mage, Elemental shaman, ( Decent classes right now, can still do really well but requires more effort compared to top 3 tiers)

Tier 3: Fire mage, Enhancement shaman, BM hunter, Affliction Warlock, Shadow priest, Prot warrior, Prot paladin (Trash tier at the moment, avoid playing these specs unless you want raging team mates)

Keep in mind these are from my own experiences, maybe some of these are totally wrong, please let me know. I've left out monks because I haven't seen any F2P monks right now, i'll update this when I do. I do have a feeling, however that brewmaster will be tier one. 29 twink crit me 2.5k as brewmaster, and their damage isn't that much higher compared to ours.

Might want to put Guardian Druid on there up top.

I've been top 2-3 in DPS every BG and survive like a boss.

Opinions on monks? Or too early to tell? Currently building a ww, and mw

Yeah haven't seen any f2p monks yet, brewmaster is looking really op though, saw a few 19 twinks brewmasters 3 shotting.

Lold hunters are no longer FOTM bu what saddens me is that rogues are still Top Tier.. I'd rather have them on 2nd. That way we will get rid of all those morons rolling Rogue cuz iz ze best. I'd rather see only rogues that actually play for the love of the class not for his OP'ness..

put guardian druid above god... with chef's hat , ring of defense and gargoyle's bite im topping dmg in every arena, no cc (but tauren stun) but dmg is high enough to kill healer 1v1, splah dmg from trash is absurd

Combat rogues are really good : /

rofl danny beat me to it, didn't even bother reading the rest of the thread as soon as I saw the spec's ranking

Combat rogue is still secret master race.

Here's my opinion on monks: Brewmaster are very bursty but after the initial burst you have a lot of trouble keeping up with the other classes in term of damage. I usually get killed in duels when the ennemy is half-life or less (the first half getting removed by my initial burst and then I can't finish him because of my other abilities) Mistweaver have 2 choices, either you go full heal and get killed because you can't attack or you use the second stance and heal passively while you attack (note than the passive healing is not enough to keep you alive most of the time and will just slow your inevitable death) and finally Windwalker's damage is nothing exceptional.

The thing is that monk can be used as a support class and this is where they start to shine. Brewmasters are very good at getting rogues, druids out of stealth. I tend to adopt a hit and run strategy with this spec (Rolling in, Keg Smash, couple jabs, roll out. Then rince and repeat until the target is dead.) For the Mistweaver I suggest not playing serpent stance unless you have dedicated peels. Just use crane stance and assist healers. And for the Windwalker, it is essential that you learn how to use Fists of Fury and Flying Serpent Kick. Those peels are some of the best in the game and can be the difference between a cap in WSG or an angry Flag Carrier.

Learning when to use Tiger's Lust can also be a game changer for you and your team. So yea if you're making a monk in hopes of doing crazy damage and being able to wreck everything, you're definitively not playing the right class. Monk is a support class who should not be afraid of giving his life for the good of the team.

I wish I could say the same for hunters, they are pretty damn boring now at 20! No interrupt, no silence, no DoT. People will stop playing hunt because of how shitty their arsenal is, not because they are no longer over powered. Even those who love the hunter class.. You've gotta be pretty keen to want to keep playing
