US FIFTY - Classic Raiding done right - We need YOU!

I am joining this project which I've been thinking of doing for very long now, probably since the thread opened. I leveled a fury warrior to 50 but then lost interest to gearing and just stopped.

I'm now back with a shaman (going for resto at 50) and I'm lvl 30 atm. I hope that I will fulfill the task this time and enter the fun!

I'm EU as you might already know but since it's only on weekends I have a chance of joining. I have enough gold on Aerie Peak for engi and alch ^^

Armory: Atý @ Aerie Peak - Community - World of Warcraft

Looking forward to the raids! :p

Good choice, thanks for joining. Hope to see you in raids soon =D

Alright guys just a quick update on whats going on.

Firstly the release of the video will begin a hopefully very succesful YouTube approach for Fifty recruiting purposes. The video will be officialy up as soon a the website problems get resolved (this is likely to be resolved very soon) but if the website is not back up in two days we will be making the video public no matter what.

The plan is to upload one new video every 2-3 days to keep the content fresh, once the video gets made public please spread anywhere you can :)

Second, next week we will be aiming for our first raid night in a while, we will most likely be doing AQ10 clean clears for new video footage but we will be trying bosses like Rajaxx and Ossirian before be bail (after watching the origional kill of Ossirian I have no clue what to expect but should be very interesting).

Lastly, we have not heard from a few members of the project in a while - to a long time, gonna make a quick list of people that were dedicated to the project that we havent seen in a while:
Bubbleosvn - Boss pally tank
Peachycream - Great priest healer
Galliwix - Where you at man?
Frostreaver - Know your still around man but would be nice to seee you in more raids :)
Social - Need your epicx banishes for MC40
Beaches - First week of project then nothing?
FIlm - Long lost member (think you post on TI every so often saying your comign back but whatever).
Fiftybum - Need hunters damage.
Rehabxx - another first weeker who joined first raid, you were a boss man where you at?
Agunandapet - Need your DPS man.
Bambiluv - EPICZ DRUID TANK
Qt - I know you leveled but raiding is great funa t the moment man.
Mcx - Same as Qt, we could realy use your help man.
Talamak - You came to alot of MC kills man, where you at?
Druidlylol - Druid heals are OP now man come back and show priests how its done.
Cognomen - Havent seen you in ages, come to a raid or two?
Buy - Could use soem more heals man.
AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO EVER RAIDED WITH US IN MC40, JUST CHEAK FIFTY BOSS KILL SCREENSHOT, HAVENT SEEN YOU GUYS IN AGES

Please contact myself or Thirk at nearest possible time please. We are now realy getting back into it and could realy use your help with MC40 progression.

Also another call to anyone who has ever though of joining <Fifty>, please contact Thirk or myself and we are able to answer any questions you may have about the project, the community is good, we get PvP on non raiding nights, we are progressing through AQ10 at the moment and very soonly we will be into MC40 again (Id just like to point that AQ10 is a harder difficulty of raiding content than MC40 and we are noticing this now more than ever thanks to the 100% difficulty increase).

Thats it for this week guys im gonna be doing weekly updates on this thread to keep people updated :)

I don't think it's the last call. We'd accept people any time, it's just this is the best time to get in on the project to do some epic stuff and world firsts and feel like a hero.

I took a day off from the gear guides because I raged so bad at them on saturday. Whatever I would write just wouldn't save. I even went through and saved my progress after each entry and it still was all not there when I finished. Very frustrating. They'll be coming back full force today.

Do you guys think, for a monk tank, dual wielding axe of rin'ji or heirloom warden staff? Heirloom staff can have wep chain, has 6 more agi, 2 more stamina. Dual axe however can have dual mongoose or the parry chain offhand. I might in the future be making a tank monk for project use.

Yes if you are interested get in touch with thirk or thelse then pm me about what class you plan on rolling. Then see my great guide. It's handy and probably has some things I forgot to tell you. Bam! Emril.

Yea, I was just realy tired when I wrote that fixed now though. Thanks Edwaaardo those guides are realy detailed and should help with a new member chosing a class.

I wish chardev would update already. I want to do the bm hunter and brewmaster already. And warriors. I'm going to move the pvp section to a different guide.

Ugh. My PC suffered a pretty catastrophic failure 2 nights ago. Been working all of the past 2 days to see if it can be fixed. No news yet, consider me unavailable for the time being. I backed up the videos, hopefully that went well, should be back shortly unless this is a huge hardware failure like I'm starting to think it might be.

Those videos are history, and more importantly, some of them have galliw in them, qualifying them as national treasures. But seriously I hope that's resolved soon. That would suck.

This seems like a pretty neat project.

What classes/specs are you guys needing the most right now?
I still have about 2 months left on my RAF account link so leveling 3 or 4 characters to 50 won't be a problem.

Pretty much what thelse said, however hunter dps is getting some challengers. Monks are also destined to be great at all three roles, since the gnome trinkets are so good. For dps I recommend Assassination rogues, all hunters, arms warriors and monks. Pm me on what you decide on and I'll link you up some gear and go a biut more in depth about your chosen class. In the meantime you can visit my guide, which is by no means complete, but it'll help a bit and is very detailed. I hope you decide to come along, it's so much fun.

I've got bad news, and worse news.

The bad news is that I'm back online, using an Optiplex GX280; My most stable but oldest computer in the house.
The worse news is that I have absolutely no clue when I can get on WoW again. My PSU shorted and I have no clue if my motherboard did as well. In a worst case scenario it may be a few weeks at least until I can actually get on WoW.

If I don't have work tomorrow I'll be mucking around the house with my spare computer parts trying to see if I can put together a tower that can run WoW decently enough for me to get online. We kind of did a great "purge" of computers a few years ago in my house (we had 13 full computers at one point), and since then we haven't been keeping old parts around as much anymore.

Well this seems like a big problem. If I ahve the weekend off work ill see about setting up a raid but no garentees at the moment, good luck Thirk hope you either fix your computer or quickly build a new one. Can you at leasta cces YouTube to make that video public?

Ohh man. I might just get a pally tank set together if this is going to be fairly long term. But sorry to see that. Everybody should come to a raid friday. We'll start grouping up at the usual time (like six for me). If thelse can't make it then I guess I'll try to lead haha, but that won't go anywhere. I just want to have a set in stone date. People won't show up if we don't use some definitive words.

So, monks seem to be the all in one type class.
I'll look into making one once WoW finishes downloading. (had to wipe my hard drive last night)

One more thing. Should I make the character on Spinebreaker or should I stay on my main realm?
Gold shouldn't be toooooo big of a deal since I can sell battle pets cross realm and they tend to fetch a few K gold if they're rare+leveled nicely.
Only downside is that I wouldn't have my main there to spam run instances to get my BiS. Wait, I might be able to do some cross realm zone real id dungeon stuff.

EDIT: After looking into monks briefly they seem to be missing a major tanking ability.

Purifying Brew - Spell - World of Warcraft is a pretty big deal for monks and unfortunately they don't get it til level 75.
Staggered damage can absorb up to 80% of the damage that hits you and puts it into a DoT. What Purifying Brew does is just get rid the Stagger debuff making you pretty much avoid all of the Staggered damage. At least that's what I understood from reading a bit about Brewmasters.

I'm not sure how it compares to other tanks, though.

Still haven't checked the other 2 specs. I'll update again if there's anything.

It's the other way around. Stagger absorbs 20% of the damage and puts it into a DoT. If it was 80% that would just be unbelievably OP.

We've got an interesting incentive to do the 40 man raids now. We can get 3 Battle Pets off the bosses in each classic raid. For those that complained about loot that you can use, it's not much, but it's a little something.

Well another thing with brewmasters is one of their cooldowns depends on getting auto attack criticals. Those don't happen. They can get the health, but they don't have the mitigation of warriors. I'm having a bit of a challenge marking their viability because of those missing mechanics. Monk healers are going to blow non gnomes out of the water, I can tell you that much.
