Alright Guys, I know we are going to continue progressing AQ40 until we get enough people for BWL Progression. For those who do not know, we did have a lvl 90 kill Vael so we could see what the next room looked like. The next pull has 4 NPCs. This room is called Hall of Strife aka Death Talon Room which contains:
Death Talon Flamescale - NPC - World of Warcraft
Death Talon Seether - NPC - World of Warcraft
Death Talon Captain - NPC - World of Warcraft
Death Talon Wyrmkin - NPC - World of Warcraft
This room has a random chance of spawning any combination of these 4 NPCs. I've seen videos of only 2 of the 4 Variations as well as all 4 spawning.
The basic killing order is: Flamescales, Seethers , Captains and at last the Wyrmkins. A Hunter will pull the group and will Rocket Boot under the balcony so that all 4 NPCs are chasing him. As the tanks pick up their targets, they should ensure that the seethers and flamescales are far away from the Captain to prevent them from gaining his Aura of Flames.
Here's the problem with this room: Since Vanilla, Flamescale's Charge were designed to only do 300 DMG. After looking into it, their UI on Charge is bugged since MoP Was released. The actual damage from Charge is this:
Berserker Charge - Spell - World of Warcraft. Now Normally this isn't a big deal(our tanks have over 10k Health). But with Crushing Blow this charge is even more deadly than what we can handle. If our tanks get hit by this charge + Crushing Blow, you're looking at an attack that can do over 13k Damage.
Now if we have enough DPS, we can kill the Flamescales before the Seethers reach our Hunter. Once our Hunter dies from the Seethers, they will have to make their way back up to the Balcony where the tank will pick them up. Once the flamescale is down, we won't have to risk our tanking getting one shotted. Follow the killorder and heal through the seethers damage and minor AoE Damage. Tank and spank once the Flamescales are dead.
Now once the hunter pulls the group and drops to the balcony, it's crucial that the tank that picks up the Flamescales pops all their defensive CDs and every healer is pumping heals into that tank. The other tanks need to simply separate the Captains from the Wyrmkins while the Seether is chasing our hunter. Luckily for us, we can have a Priest pop Spirit Shell prior to the pull and have our Monk pop Lifecocoon on the tank as well. This should prevent our tank from being 1shotted.
