Feral Weapon Enchant explained for SL

Theory crafting sites don’t formulate the enchant correctly because basically it’s broken.

Your theory is plausible but flawed. If that was the case then other plus damage in other slots would have the same effect but they do not.
Example there is a neck, ring and some other items you can wear that all have +damage on them but they do not multiply like the weapon enchant dose. They increase damage just the same as any other class dose.

I will provide some numbers later but the enchant on weapon is equivalent to ballpark 50+ agility. You can also see this in caster form where your healing is increased by an equivalent amount, it’s not just when in cat form.

You are basically correct with the weapon DPS, feral ignores speed and just uses the total weapon DPS. That’s why some fishing poles have been BiS for feral twinks over the years.
Oh I'm not looking at the enchant formula, I'm just looking at the ability damage formulas to see what stats are used to calculate the damage and then trying to deduce where the extra damage would have to be plugged in to match what we are observing. I would expect that every point of added weapon damage add (actual, functional weapon damage, not just tooltips) would be worth basically 6 agility for feral. If it is notably more or less than that then my theory is wrong and it would be back to the drawing board.
 
Can abilities such as sinister strike bloodthirst etc strike with the offhand? How does weapon damage on offhand impact abilities? or is it just white hits? (for classes other then druids)

Unless the spell specifically states that it uses off-hand in the spell, then no.
I.e. Mutilate calculated from main-hand AND off-hand back in the day, Lava Lash was calculated from off-hand as well (still is I believe). There were a few other spells that I am blanking on right now that used off-hand as well.

So yes, weapon damage on off-hand will strictly be towards white hits only (unless an off-hand specific spell is in play).

It's also important to note that off-hand specific spells are penalized in calculating weapon damage towards affecting spells, which basically cuts it in half.

For those interested I added some tooltip stats for the various enchants in OP.
Nice. So it looks to me like https://www.wowhead.com/spell=27967/major-striking is adding +7 weapon damage, which then means +7 WDPS given the 1.0 attack speed, or +42 base ability damage (effectively AP).
https://www.wowhead.com/spell=20030/superior-impact looks to be +9 damage -> +9 WDPS -> +54 base ability damage.

Note that there is a 1.4x multiplier on cat form auto attack damage which takes +7 up to +10 and +9 up to the +12.5 as observed on auto attacks. Spell power is calculated from 0.96x the base ability damage, so that accounts for the slightly smaller numbers there.

Umm... May I ask, isnt the Staff of One True Bramble King BIS for feral/guardian who didnt got the ilvl 49 artifact? Or is the haste/mastery not preffered for those specs? To be clear, the staff is ilvl 44, obtainable and usable even from lvl 10.

Actually you got it flipped mirrorbender - sadly major strike gives more toolbar than superior from my findings.

Im commenting on this due to wasting my last superior striking to only have my toolbar go down and having to put major back on! Thanks for posting inaccurate information! You fility Animal!!

That would seem to contradict the data that Chey added to the OP, where impact is clearly outperforming striking. But if it is true, then there's some other wrinkle in here that needs to be pinned down.

Maybe just a typo, but just to be sure, we're talking about https://www.wowhead.com/spell=20030/superior-impact here, not https://www.wowhead.com/spell=20031/superior-striking right?
 
That is my mistake then - i misread the enchants you are referring to 2hand vs 1hand +wep damage enchants. As there is 2 enchants for 1 hand that both give +4 wep damage (superior and major for 1hands) However - to your point major impact is the best for 1 hands as you mentioned :) Sorry for the confusion
 
There are chance to drop the Staff of One True Bramble King from the npc if you killed him and no loot first time?
This boss is on daily reset or no?

One-and-Done. If you don't get the Staff to drop on the 1st kill, you don't get the Staff.

Chey's sheet shows tooltips of +3 and +4 respectively (something changed?), but actual damage of Superior > Impact.
If I read Swoop's sheet correctly a 29 would get +4 for Superior Impact, but no mention of Impact.

So, is the tooltip for Impact just bad? Anyone know if it's different in actual use on a 24? (I assume Chey's stuff is all for 20s). The Superior costs 20x more on this server (and the Superior's cost is way lower than most servers).

Tooltips are often bugged. When you apply the enchant, you'll see the correct value.

Did some not so great testing. Had to use level 28 druid as no game time on main (20) to mail test weapons.

FBite Tooltip
2H Superior Impact = +34 damage down from 93 damage (Still BiS)
2H Impact/1H Major Strike = +25 damage
2H Mighty Agility = +24 damage

Dense Weight Stone is adding aprox +28 damage

Have not tested double ele on artifact, but with lunar talent and nerf to impacts may be worth a look. Will probably be better for padding meters but for value not sure yet.

The nerf definitely sucks but I still think feral will sit around the same tier level. Will try do some more detailed testing soon.
