F2P/Vets in xpoff-BGs

I mean, I'm not a leveler but here's what I've noticed

Graveyard farms are almost non-existent and those that do happen are easy to break.

Games are undeniably closer. Both in score and in individual skirmishes that break out

BG chat is more game oriented and less "fuck it just let them win" or "oh they have 5 twinks, we lose".

And, anecdotally, I'm starting to see the return of *gasp* leveler premades. That's a really good sign.
Well this is where I disagree, I think premade v premade games were the most entertaining ones and on my 20 I've found myself leaving a few games as there simply was no twinks and only levelers so there was no competition.

That's extremely fair. I think we might have been talking around each other.

I'd love some f2p vs f2p wargames. I think they have the potential to be the best balance in twinking. Maybe when my life calms down, I'll get on that.

But until then, being able to casually que into a game I'm 90% sure won't be a blowout is nice. And honestly, knowing levelers are having a better go at it makes me happy. But that's my inner carebear coming out.

Yes 29's might have brought an excessive ammount of consumables but to me it wasnt really a huge issue as usually both teams would pop drums for the bigger fights (in premades vs premades). and I used gliders myself, mainly because It's a fun item. But I never really saw consumables as a huge problem as both sides used them frequently.

But drums fuck up the flow of the game. That's the problem. The gameplay is so much smoother without those fucking things. I dont care if both had sides had asswipes who used them. It's so detrimental to the gameplay. It's so fkin aids that the only people still using them are russians and the occasional reroller. Glad you enjoyed the gliders in your ivory tower. I can tell you then that when playing f2p and shitting on some 29 retard and they would just pop a third wind if they got caught and be back to full health. Consumables especially high lvl ones like thirdwind and drums and to a lesser degree speed pots are so fkin bad for the flow of the game.

I mean there's a reason even that classes that have Bloodlust can't use them in wargames or rated pvp. Both sides can obviously have them because there's so many classes that have it now. But it fucks the game up so hard that it can't be allowed.

Yes some f2p specs probably perform very well, almost on par with vets. (I believe healer spec are the strongest as f2p as they're not super reliant on weapon enchants such as elly force/crusader, but I do not have much experience with f2p)
But a leveling fury warrior with some looms would have a much better figthing chanse vs a f2p warr than a vet warrior. (obvious, yes but it's worth pointing out because of your statement)

Colour me shocked. I see plenty of leveler furies rocking double crusader, they would probably give the asswipes that are rerolling from 29s a run for their money.

Well has the bracket really changed that much since the seperation other than the fact that less consumables are being used from BOTH sides? It's still whatever team has the most twinks / better premade win the game with levelers still not having a very big impact on the game and tbh from the small ammounts of bg's I've played the bracket seems less competetive as there seems to be far more levelers per game now.

The bracket has changed sooooooooooooooooooo much. If you played f2p you would know this. But ye this statement it just makes it hard for me to take you seriously.

What I meant by this is that so many vets complain about how strong 29's are/were (not saying they werent) completly ignoring the fact that they do pretty much the exact same thing to levelers and 29's were generally used as a scapegoat and vets kinda hid behind them like they're not a part of the problem. Your point about the consumables is fair but that's not what the majority of the vets on xpoff have complained about.

Sure, vets are probably gonna be the next thing to have to be reined in but it's not nearly as monumental a problem as 29s were. Again, if you played f2p you would know this. Things are 1000% better than 2 weeks ago. I am not exaggerating. That is the official number.

yeah sure drums does change the pace of the game but I never saw it as a big deal as it's only something that can be used once maybe twice per game. and you used to be able to use bloodlust in rgb's, I believe it was changed in wod.
About the thirdwind I actually had to search it up on wowhead as I've never heard of it from any 29's I've played with or used one myself.

So you're saying it's improved for your demographic, but that does not mean it's an overall improvement as there is still that massive gap between levelers and vets(f2p's to some degree too). And I still stand by the fact that it feels like a lot of the games are very stale with very little competition. as i said in reply to chops this has even made me leave a few games as there simply was 0 resistance in the enemy team.

Well I never used them because I was never a 29 cunt, that was only playing to steamroll levelers. If that's what I want I can do that without drums. Twice per fkin game. Jesus ye ur no big drum roller, even the russians use 1 per game. But ye it's a massive fucking deal and it ruins games.
December 2010. So ye sometime in WoD.

It's very much a favorite among 29s, they gobble them down like they're Tuco after Blondie dumps him in the desert. I can tell you, super popular.

Sure the games aren't perfect, there's still alot of faceroll games. But the overall quality of games, the amount of games that aren't facerolls. The amount of games that are facerolls. Overall it's 1000% better than before this patch.

Well I don't think this discussion will go any further but I just checked and it was not removed in 2010 but in season 12 of mop so fall of 2012. reason why I said maybe in wod was because I played rbg's in the start of mop and I remember every1 where lusting right before the doors opened. not sure if you're just trying to exaggerate or you actually didnt bother checking.

Edit: i see that I wrote "I" in my post but that was an error. that was actually my bad. I simply ment to state that It was something that could only be used once or twice per game. I personally never kept drums on me but I do know that a lot of 29's did.

And I never said I used drums? I just said that it was an item that could only be used once or twice per game. I've never really kept drums on my druid as I didnt feel like they were needed. Feels like you're trying to read shit between the lines that are not there.

I did a quick google. But that was arenas.

Ye I wonder where I got that crazy idea.

Look ye, vets are now the big dogs of the bracket, and that might be a problem. But I'm not gonna sit here and pretend like that this shit is a valid arguement lol. Anybody buying this shit has to be mentally handicapped lol. To pretend the situation isnt a 1000% better than 2 weeks ago lol. Aids benches are gone. A mainstay in the 29s inventory. I have seen 6 people pop drums in maybe 60 bgs since the patch. 4 of those people were russians. Before this patch there were drums in every fucking bg. Sure there are some vets that some still use consumables like crazy, most are 29 rerolls that cant live without them or russians. But consumable use has gone through the floor.

Sure there are still some issues, mainly crusader. But this argument that vets are as bad for the bracket health as 29s is the most retarded shit ive read in awhile. I have 1 vet acc with 1 updated vet and 3 f2p accs and besides resto shaman and druid and fury warriors, none are that much scarier as a vet than as f2p.

I'm... You... I don't even know what to say about some of the shit you guys are imagining is going on lol. Get a fucking grip, I dont want to see anymore of this retarded argument. It is the dumbest thing I've read in like 3 days.

Vets are still the skeying ginger step kids they were 3 weeks ago... The ones that aren't could handle 29s anyway... According this forum that was all of em. The last time I was in a bg with you, you were the one moaning that they (8 vets in our team) had no clue. Dunno what bracket you're playing man.

Tbh pug vs premade far more damaging than 29s vs levelers but overall the amount of one sided games I have encountered is far less after the change.

but they didn't care... But wanted to make unwritten rules for everyone else to follow. Sad thing is they could have had premade v premade basically every night if they tried.

I made a thread about it and there was 5-7 interested out of the whole of those F2p servers... It's probably still on here.

Sure, some vets suck, more now that the 29s are coming, but the flow of the game has still improved. And sure I dont always agree with my team. I haven't in this thread said that the situation is perfect. It clearly isn't and it never will be but things are a 1000% better than before the patch and I stand by that.

Someone just has to get off their ass and organise some, has happend plenty of times before. Alot of people are still farming stuff etc. Hopefully there will be wargames at one point.

Sure, some vets suck.

Some are better than others sure... But winning the Paralympics just means their less retarded than lil Jonny, over there that's just got out of a meaningful relationship with a potato.

Practice safe sex kids. Leave the jacket on your potato and wash it first ;)

Forum pedant here to remind you that the paralympics and the special olympics are two different things.

carry on

As long as the potato was consenting I don't care.

More ppl need to go suggest that F2p and Vets get put in the xpoff bgs. I mean they don't wanna farm levelers right?

How to do it?
Do in game via Game Meny > Help > Submit Suggestion.
