F2P DKs + possible Mount-grind

I'm interested... I have some problems with my laptop's video card ... 95+°C :eek:... in full workload... After dust cleaning and a thermal paste reapply.. I will be back.. in business. I can bring my cousin's 87/88 druid on Thunderhorn A & 90 dk on LSkull H, but in early July after my birthday because I'm very busy with work now.
 
Since you mentioned me I will give you just a few tips..


Do NOT make this an open event. ONLY inv people you know/trust. If you plan around ppl showing up and some don't you are completely screwed for the whole event (happened to me twice)...

Talk to your nicer p2p friends and like lofi said (thanks for being my p2p fwend! :p ) just have them feed honor to you. A straight 1:1 farm is going to take forever meaning if there are 5 people in each group farming each other (like i originally planned) it will be a 1:1 farm and take FOREVER. Try to make it ATLEAST a 1:2 farm.

Do not expect to get completely done in any less then 4 hours. Expect 6-10 hours no matter how many people you have coming or how perfectly things go.

Doesn't matter how many people you have coming.. Have backups for CRZ for those assholes who will want to ruin your farming. Expect it to happen and plan around it then if (it will trust me) it doesn't actually happen (it will) then you will have more help then needed

I do trust in the people wanting to show up for now (Gel, Thor, Crystal, Bal, (Mol), Nami and me for now for the mounts and Björke for more achievements). Why? Because I know they're achievement hunters, they did a lot of this stuff alone already but something like this just has to happen on a larger scale. If people like Crystal and Björke would rather like to get titles/achievements through their DKs, I will gladly try to get people to help as much as I can if they would also put effort into getting the helpers what they wanted (I personally don't really care about the titles/achievements too much, I just want my mount but am of course willing to help with anything). I don't mind having a p2p (2 active p2p accounts) toon of mine and/or a f2p DK to be a target dummy and I guess i could help with other stuff also. Don't have a specific time i can't help out but a plan sounds nice.

I'll probably be leaving sometime mid July but it's nothing set in stone (so the sooner the event takes place the better). Before I go on vacation pretty much any time is fine by me.

Realm doesn't matter, just tell me where to create a DK and I will.
Do you get the other faction version of these mounts once you buy any of them on the horde/alliance?

[MENTION=16540]Fujin0[/MENTION], Theoretically it ISN'T possible. Let me drop some math on you cause I've farmed for over 50+ hours this summer. You get 3.5 honor per kill (3-4 alternating). It takes 45secs to a 1min for one kill. Assuming you get a kill a minute you get 210 honor per hour. If your ratio is 1:1 it will take you about 10 hours to finish. If you want to finish in two hours one person would have to farm FIVE. If you get a kill every 45 secs (pretty hard to do), you get 280 honor per hour for each person you are farming. If the ratio is 1:1 it will take you 7 hours to farm 2k honor. That's why I said 6-8 hours. I didn't even take into account the hour it's going to take to get out of the starting zone.

Don't try misleading people into thinking this is going to be easy and that everyone is going to get a mount within two hours. For one, people are going to get pissed off when it takes 10 hours and secondly the people aren't going to plan accordingly and are going to leave early which will screw up your run.

I find it interesting that you're pushing all those numbers on me, assuming that everyone that has signed up in this thread cares about how long it will actually take in the end and that they're all completely clueless. The people that signed up know, that even just getting out of the starting zone can be tedious and boring, if they weren't up for that, trying to grind 2k honor through camping naked lvl 55s for a few hours would be futile, but I trust in them. I also changed the FAQ on that part, I made it clear, that 'the grind itself' will take at LEAST 2-6 hours, this can also mean at LEAST 6 hours, depending on the amount of people that show up, how fast people can kill shit, etc.

If you think I have been deliberately 'misleading' people into thinking this will make for an easy grind and everyone can get his mount in 2 hours, maybe even with the intention of trying to accuse me of going to do this only for my own benefit, then you're wrong. It's sad to see, that you have no trust in your fellow f2ps, idk how it exactly runs on the US, but I know most of these people and trust in them to not just show up, grind their honor and leave and I am in a position where I can put some consequences behind misbehavior.

Btw, if enough people show up, let's just think about that, we could do BGs and get our 2k honor 10 times as fast as just camp each other in WPvP.

I was trying to be helpful. Every single person that has organized something like this has failed, mainly because people don't know how long it actually takes and how to do it efficiently. If you don't use the STV glitch to do this, you are looking at around 20+ hours, and considering the fact that you are actually suggesting BGs and wPVP I doubt you even know what I'm talking about. The amount of people that show up is irrelevant. What matters is the RATIO of people farming. Why do you even have 2-6 range in the description? That's obviously misleading. It's impossible to farm 2k honor in 2 hours. Instead of being arrogant and taking offense at the advice someone is giving, you should take it with grace and try to use it to your advantage. Take it from someone who's been there and done it. I wish you all the best.

Oh and if you thought my advice was rude/ wrong, ask Lil and she'll tell you the exact same thing and give you the exact same numbers I did.

Theres a max of 3.5 honor per kill and it gets split evenly among the group. There is no group bonus of any kind with honor farming.
