F2P and 5.4

Halaani wiskeey got nerf to 7 stam in bgs.

It's not like fully BiS p2ps with full 5.4 chants will be running around the gulch in groups of 10 in every game instantly when 5.4 hits... Just try it out and see, probably the decent f2ps will still stand a good chance against most 24s, and nothing's gonna change that much. P2Ps had the upper hand before, they have it now, they will have it in the future.

Hardly any of 24s even right now are even near bis, why'd they be in 5.4 when some of the best enchants cost thousands of gold? 24s generally don't do too well against somewhat coordinated groups anyways, they're not gonna suddenly absorb some magical gladiator r1 powers when patch changes and they get a few chants more to crutch on.

Not sure if you're insulting p2p or not.. Its not like p2p and f2p players are completely different people. But yes I agree, with the right team and decnt skill, you can down a p2p
Edit: well most SPs arent the brightest...

Tested and it worked for me. Interesting part:
I whispered somebody outside the BG, the message that I can't whisper came and when I entered the BG, the message was suddenly there.

Interesting /scratches head

Muti got buffed didn't it? Still think combat/sub is the way to go though.

Ah true. 80% more dmg but can't test that spec on mobs.
Did some test today with different specs, weapons and talents on my favourite testing mobs - the elite orcs in Redridge. There are some cloth mobs, some leather ones, perfect mix. Used recount to get the dps. Killed mobs until about 50k dmg was done. The distinction between subletly + shadow focus and which weapon was done with about 80k dmg.

combat:
with shadow focus -> 240 dps (only viable variation)

subletly:
with night stalker and slow mainhand-> around 210 (I don't remember those too precisely... were just too low to be interesting)
with night stalker and dagger -> around 220
with shadow focus and slow mainhand -> 290
with shadow focus and dagger -> 270

Those are just mobs but it gives a direction to view at. Dagger + night stalker is prolly stronger in pvp thanks to oneshot pew pew dps on players.

Just saw this thread in another section: http://www.twinkinfo.com/forums/f32/saying-goodbye-old-friend-52646/

Apparently, Halaani Whiskey scales according to level now. A lvl 1 gets 1 stam, so perhaps 20's would get 20 stam. If it scales like that, at least we'll be unaffected. 24's might get more stam, though.

EDIT: According to a wowhead comment we're screwed.

Now scales down according to your level. It gives 6 stamina at level 20, 7 stamina at level 24, but still 20 stamina at level 90. So it's not really worth getting for low level twinks now.

Another EDIT: Looks like it's time to cook and Outland practically lost all its value for us (besides people after achieves). Pandas are probably best race for max stamina, if the above source is true. Some confirmation would be appreciated.

It's true but the 60 int buff in Warsong Hold still works to its full potential!

haalani seems to be 6 stam and 7 in bgs.

Just from a p2p rogue pov, I was ambushing 2ks with zerker and hemorrhage was around 400 so might wanna watch out for 20-24 rogues... They just went supercasual mode D: push button, receive 1shot

That maybe the best for combat in pve, but in pvp you'd want to get 5 cps, stealth, then open with evis from stealth. If you get lucky and revealing strike is still on them, you can easily crit for 1.8k without any buffs or stacks. If you don't get lucky, your still looking at 1.4k crits.

Eviscerate got nerfed. Sinister strike got nerfed (energy cost increased) and buffed (damage increased). It just doesn't work anymore. You don't get as much dps on the target as before. It's sad, because I liked combat a lot.

Evis only got a 10% nerf, which is almost completely offset for combat by the ap buff. How much dps you do in pvp doesn't matter, it's all about burst.

Burst is part of dps. Before this patch both combat and subletly were around 220 in my testing scenario. Combat increased to 240 but subletly to 290 - too much to ignore. They were equal once - big crit at the beginning or at the end but combat was more viable if you got dragged out of stealth.
