Leveling my priest to 19 by killing rare spawns and Recepe Swiftness Potion drops which I've been farming. I feel kind of empty inside that I can't use it

I'm thinking about doing this since it seems to have interest and bgs suck currently.. Questions though, how balanced is this? Are wars 1 shotting ppl or are healers running rampant or is this pretty balance? Also why do wars/pallies get the dungeon shoulder but no1 else gets any dungeon stuff? Is it for the hit?

The idea behind F2P 19 gearing was
That way everyone could wear the items needed to be hit capped, and then each class would have a set outfit made up from their remaining whites and greens/blues. With enough spare gear the outfit could be adjusted over time, so that the classes could be balanced relative to each other, to make up for Bliz not doing any low level balancing.
The problem was it needed enough people, willing to get the same gear, and not twink but instead limit their capabilities to match every other class. It would also have needed some testing to work out which gear set was appropriate for each class.
- Buy a full set of white gear, including weapons, from the vendors.
- Collect permitted gear from quests and dungeons until you're hit capped
- Collect more selected items that are green or blues, until you ding 19.

The problem with this is that a blue shield / axe for a warrior affects the game a lot more than say a blue chest and staff for a mage. I think we should limit to the gear posted- no exceptions. That way there are less issues and it keeps minimal. I myself am so tempted to roll with alchemy because swiftness potion recipe dropped off a rare while I was levelling. But it's fairer for everyone if I don't
On different note, I have everything ready on my priest; just working a bit more on eng for the goggles and I'm done. Not that I even need an extra 4 hit rating, being automatically hit capped and all but hey. Also realised that it might be handy to get a battle standard before I finish levelling
Looking forward to 10 people being geared to play some 5 v 5 wsg's!

Does it matter if we roll Horde or Alliance? A lot of the gear sets are Horde quests only. I am sure the are some Alliance equivalents.

I'm not going to be able to look after this project on the forseeable time, so if you want to adjust gear sets for more hit for example Aty should just copy the thread format and make an updated one.Good luck and hope to be back.
Ah alright, thanks for updating it. Regarding the gear sets I think they are quite okay afterall and it would be just bad to change it now when people already started gearing up.
Next step is to get the skype group active and running everyday for maybe a wargame or two. Will try to be a bit more active on that one.
