The way I see it, America is basically in the middle as far as taxes go. On one hand, you have the socialist-leaning states in Europe with great benefits. On the other hand you have countries like China (where I live and pay practically 0% tax) where people are mostly left to fend for themselves. Being such a large country, America has a great diversity of opinions, and people are afraid of change. I can see the merits of a system like Denmark's, but regardless of who becomes president, change in the US almost always comes very slowly.
the changes in President hasn't changed my life in the slightest. even if a radical person like Trump or Sanders becomes President I still don't see it changing much.

The beautiful part about America is you can be anyone and find your clique, from a rural conservative family loving rancher to a metrosexual liberal yuppie independent freelancer. I love it

I bet the changes in presidents can be seen on a more general level though. And perhaps in te everyday life of those less fortunate than you.

Trump, because I'm tired of the brainwashed regressive left calling me a racist nutjob, and I like Trump's immigration policy.

But, I'm mostly voting for Trump because I don't want Hillary to win.

bernie is not a socialist but a "democratic socialist"

A VERY TRUE STEREOTYPE
Good, socialism is a very bad idea. Guess what, no one is going to want to pay for other people's stuff. People need to keep their jealously in check. Guess what, some positions make more than others. But they also come with a tremendious amount of responsibility and time. If you want that go to college and get it. Get student loans, its not that big of a deal so long as you finish.. People get all caught up in "evil corporations" that make a bunch of money, you do release they have just extrodinary expenses right? A grocery store's monthly electric bill can be 100,000+... That's for 1 store. And that CEO making millions, he's responsible for his 50,000+ employees jobs and to make that company successful... Or else everyone's out of a job. Talk about stress... I wouldn't want that job nor do I want a share of his money...

Ted Cruz is obviously more extreme than Trump, who all in all is no more than a populist. He's probably not xenophobic either; if free migration would generate as many votes as speaking of building a well against Mexico, Trump wouldn't hesitate to change policy. I don't think Trump would be a great president – nor would Cruz though. I'd honestly almost pick Trump over Cruz if it weren't for Trump's foreign policy.

Even if anyone here's siding with Trump, you should probably vote for Rubio, though, simply because Hillary – according to all polls – would beat Trump since many of the moderate Republicans rather would vote for a Democrat over him. And don't even get me started on Congress and actually implementing the ideas which he has.

If I lived in the US, I probably would be voting for Berne Sanders, even though I consider myself to be on the right in a Swedish or European context. If Jeb Bush was still in the race I'd consider him, though.

Who'd have thought someone with a carnie name like "Jeb" would be too normal for this freakshow. I'm half-expecting one of the candidates to announce that he will now be running as a woman named "Candyce".

So you're tired of being called a racist, so you vote for a president with racist views, so that you won't be seen as a racist anymore?

Socialism is more than just higher taxes. It's about creating a secure society, where you can't just fall through and end on the streets, or end up in a huge debt that you will never be able to pay off. It's not about total equality, but about helping those in need.

The most used argument against socialism, at least in my country, is that it removes the incentive to work harder, or to even work, because of the high taxes and the progressive tax system. But honestly, I'd rather pay 5-10% more in taxes, and know that we have a coherent society, with little inequality. And I wouldn't have any problems with, 10 people "living off my taxes", living off the welfare system, even though they were perfectly fit to work, IF it meant that 1 family could keep a normal standard of living.

So, emotional ŕetard left feminist censorship safe space warriors vs a guy who has balls to say what he thinks without cow towing to people.

Easy decision

But your rationalized in your mind that 1 person needs it and 10 milk the system, which are numbers pulled out of the air... No one is going to want to work when you can get it for free. That's justvhuman behavior, we take the path of least resistance.

I would argue we have plenty of programs already in place to help those that end up on the street.

The biggest problem is education and family structure. Without these uneducated people with horrible abusive childhoods can't hold a job/be apart of society. They are mentally ill, they need help. And they should get that help through various programs/government healthcare now. It's the teach a man to fish philosophy and it's much better than free handouts. You don't respect what is given to you for nothing, its just the honest truth for anyone.

You're right, it is probably too late for USA to get a system that promotes equality instead lf every man for himself.

I guess it would be different if you were taught from childhood; From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

Anyone who throws around the word "racism" like it's no big deal -- I tend to tune them out. Don't take this personally, but I'm done responding to you from here on out.

Sounds like a good motto reguardless of political stance. I just like to see those decisions made by the individual not the government.
