Lots of smoke and mirrors, but what isn't smoke and mirrors is that someone got DDos'ed. Whether it was in response to Vangnaw's comment or not (I honestly don't know or know Vangnaw so can't say), this stuff is BS.

People like to complain that TeamSpeak is so 1960's and tthat it's a pain to setup (takes 3 minutes max), but this is why you won't see me in Skype with ppl. Because I am not having this happen to me or my teammates.

Seems pretty clear who the culprit is.....so like I said in another post awhile ago, until their GM deals with it that guild has no credibility to claim they don't DDos. Just because their GM doesn't support it (and I believe he doesn't) doesn't mean he can bury his head in the sand and claim innocence.
 
The one thing we can all agree on, DDosing kills brackets.

Hunnybuns19 Perhaps we should make an attempt to move away from skype during War Games, if it is as simple as DLing TS to give yourself a bit more protection than perhaps it's worth sacrificing our beloved chat service for the good of the bracket.

bigmoran You seem like someone whose ambitious, driven, and you've done a lot for this bracket already, but the second you DDos it. all that becomes meaningless, keep that in mind.

MYT You can start removing DDOsers from your guild, but what if someone new starts DDosing and you don't know it? I wouldn't be so quick to blame this guy either.

vangnaw I don't know you but it does seem like a joke to me, the real question here is why even talk to someone like that? Barb is unstable enough to turn a simple joke into a good excuse for Cyber Crimes, I barely know the dude and I know that.

If your such a strong community and you know its certain people. A community ban from all future events and Twink cup. if you can't do this as a community whats the point?

Knowning Vangnaw personally, i know she wouldnt do shit like this on a serious level. She makes jokes like this all the time, casually.
All you're doing is looking for someone to blame.

If you believe that she was the reason DDoSing occured, you're delusional.

The mere fact that certain individuals have resorted to DDosing in a bracket barely held together is sickening, and should be addressed through an entire community effort.

That being said, don't throw up a screenshot that may or may not be a joke, it delegitimizes the real issue and draws away attention from what should really be talked about.

It's fucking toxic and pathetic.

I want people to step up and draw the line, everyone stop hiding behind your computer screens watching as it happens to players all around the bracket waiting inevitably from happening to you. It is 100% unrealistic to have everyone in the bracket proxied/vpned who play 19s, so don't fucking play with these guys. They are replaceable.

I am extremely frustrated and want to see an effort as an entire community to stop associating themselves with these players. I am sure people have opinions, want to hear them. Mods I understand this thread is directed at two individuals in the community, but if you don't let the community talk this one out itself you are causing the situation to linger just like the rest of the Bracket at this point.

Not really even sure why anyone is even bothering with the twink cup. I think we all knew this was going to happen.

Don't worry, this seems like something you all need to work out between yourselves and it's also in our interests that we let you do so. TwinkInfo is no stranger to the effects of DDoS'ing, you will recall.

I can't speak to why the one guy was banned because it wasn't me, but typically that's done because it's a ban circumventer. Don't let it concern you, we're not interested in suppressing your own management of your community on important issues like this.
 
You'll legitimize and roll with obviously broken tank specs that top dps over every dps spec, but then you won't dress for success with ddos? You bred this toxic community, with your toxic broken-class-stacking-gy-farming, now reap what ye have sown.
