Are 20-24 battlegrounds fun as a F2P?

so let's have it: do you guys honestly find battlegrounds in the 20-24 bracket to be fun? really, let's have it. do you really enjoy yourself every time you queue up for battlegrounds in the 20-24 bracket as a F2P?

No, i honestly think with the alliance all was farming, them crutching on huntards and the amount of 24's has really fucked up this bracket. the reason why i still play is because i've made some really cool guys/girls and that's about it.
 
i had fun for a bit i guess, but most bgs turned into easy wins or non-objective play. it's also annoying when people can stun you for 6 seconds or be a hunter. 24s have become more and more common as it's gone on, and i've pretty much quit playing except during really late night sessions when i want to play an easy game...and the quality of WSGs is obviously horrible (much more horrible than when i started in January) due to the mass of hunters and 24s around that really don't play well but can do things like speed pot, vanish, instagib, etcetc... there's just not enough reward for good play like there used to be. the games reward gear, level, class comp, and consumables over skill.
 
I do enjoy the games, and I feel as though almost every game can be fun.

But it blows to solo que, or to group que with no healers.

Not voting since I don't like either of the options :)
 
I enjoy bgs wsg most over ab, I like the fact that as a hpally i spend more time out there healing fc or personally going after efc instead of hanging around gy.

I hate spending time in gy so i do my best to avoid spending time with horde spirit guide so

1) avoid running into enemies like a hero
2)know when to pull out and retreat (giggidy)
3) run with homies.
4) spam bg chat with "gj" where they are deserved and "get of mid nubs get efc" you know keep it positive

less deaths make the game more enjoyable........for me.
 
The way you worded that, you don't even seem to want to hear any other opinion than your own. :(

Yes, I honestly have fun playing, even though BGs in this bracket don't work the way I want them to work.
No, I didn't need to come to terms with this, as I never expected balanced gameplay for free.

Yes, sometimes it stops being fun, but then I quit, and do something that is fun.

I've got nothing against arena, I think it's wonderful that they are available to us with all the work that went into building the Aerie Peak community, and I would like to get better at playing them.

You always indicate this. Cognitive dissonance explains this, and most other twink behavior, much more soundly imo. People like it BECAUSE it sucks relative to the reward. Some games are good some are bad.

Most of my horde alts still have 60%+ pug win rates without afks. I realize that not everyone can do this. I seriously wanted to remove my videos that including promotions for f2p/AP because of this discrepancy. But some people seem to enjoy it, and I enjoyed it once too.

Last year I could easily say that pugging bgs as Horde was fine. But most of this year it has been much more of an uphill battle for Horde. Whenever I log onto alliance and play 1 game its a straight faceroll win. Even if we have 1 24s on Ally vs 4 24s on horde its still an easy win. Alliance was never enjoyable for me. Premades were hardly enjoyable either.

Seriously, if you want a balanced game play sc2.

PS: I don't play as much now so I don't have a general feel for each gaming time frame throughout the day, but when I do play the games are good enough to not pay. D3 on 15-May, and GW2 this year as well. And the polling options are bad.

~I queue alone, though I have begun making characters on AP now.
~I do enjoy myself in WSG, I wouldn't play if I didn't.
~Between all my characters, I have all available classes at 20. My mains currently are a Warrior and Rogue. So no I'm not biased because I'm a hunter :)
~I roll Horde currently for the queues.

I've been playing a long time and have seen plenty of unbalance. You win some and you lose some. You die, you kill, you may even get farmed. Brush it off and continue, or don't.

I'm enjoying myself that's all that matters.

i'd say it's doublethink, not cognitive dissonance - these people are rationalizing the horrible gameplay by telling themselves that they love WoW BGs so much that it doesn't matter how laughably imbalanced and frustrating BGing in the 20-24 bracket as a F2P is:

"gosh, these games are fucking ridiculous! the hunters and 24s steamroll everyone, 90% of the players are borderline retarded, and most people don't even play by the objectives!"

"but i'm still having a blast! i just love WoW battlegrounds!"

but yes, i see your point
