oh just a quick headsup. this was a great way for barb to take the heat off of himself. gg man well made plan.
PS: He made this Imgur

I think this is an issue that will be best handled collaboratively by the community. The information is now out and people can make informed decisions about who they want to associate with. Each person accused is free to make their case as Alex has, and if their crimes are too heinous to be forgiven in the eyes of the community then it should be the community collectively that decides to exclude them. I don't like seeing people get DDOSd, I wish people would stop doing it, but I don't think it's right for me to act as arbiter in this case. The community needs to set its own standards and enforce them collectively.

i am not splitting hairs, i am telling you that the majority of the circle jerk in this thread has contributed absolutely zero to the twink cup which in return gives them zero right to participate in the decision of banning certain individuals. simple as that.

feel free to tell me what you contributed to the twink cup so far and how it compares to what certain other individuals did.

You were saying?

Speaking strictly as an outside observer, and not in any way as a representative of Twink Info, I would offer that perhaps the most important consideration for the organizers of the Twink Cup, at this point, is that their tournament is clean. If some people DDoS'ed other people in the past, in non-prize-pool games, that's one thing, and the community can deal with that as it sees fit (and it sounds like it is, so far.) But if someone DDoS'es someone else during the tournament, then and only then can the tournament be said to be corrupt, or corrupted, or whatever else you want to throw in there.

Perhaps as a yellow-name I should just steer a wide path around the whole topic, but, I just want to make a helpful suggestion to you guys that perhaps you might consider separating the issues of what people have done in the past, from the issue of what people might do in the future, specifically during the tournament. The analogy of the bank robbery is sound enough... only, in the past it was someone swiping a beer out of your fridge, let's say. You can be mad at him for that, but you can't necessarily extend from that incident that therefore, he is going to knock over this money-stuffed armored truck that's due to come around in a week. The armored truck company shouldn't necessarily be concerned over who swiped whose beer a few weeks ago, but rather be concerned with how they can keep their truck delivery secure.

Just saying, if people are mad at other people for things they've done in the past, don't necessarily jump to the punishment of barring them from the Twink Cup, or from Twink Info. Those past in-game transgressions are another matter, and I think it's going to make a mess of things to try to conflate those incidents with any real, serious fraudulent actions in the future.

Edit: I see Myrm had already replied while I was typing this, and basically said the same thing. So there's that.

Any fucking cunt that wants to take shots at my niggas gonna have to come through me, if i dont tear you to shreds the auzzies will!

Yo... but for real though idk why this is big news to anyone... this has been brought up about 2-3 weeks ago, i even made a public podcast about what has happened in the 19 community involving ddos. The only player to my knowledge that continuously hits people offline at this point is Barb, and people should not be talking out of their ass if they are not informed

Looks like youre defending this cause half these guys play on your team, sucks to play with cheaters.

This is obviously an extremely important issue in you guys's community, and it's going to raise some very serious emotions, I understand that and I don't want to stifle this necessary dialogue y'all are having, but I will ask that everyone please, please, try to keep the language PG-13. If you can do so, then it'll be so much easier for the staff to let you have your needed discussions without stepping in and editing and stuff that we don't really want to have to do. Thanks and love.

Anyone involved in DDOS should be shit listed and yeah.

the fact theres people now like ddosing on the regular with 19s is just sad.

i guess relying on skill is out the window

=
yet only 1 person has been doing it on the regular. gg

now i do not have much of a say i would guess in this, but as someone who plays most nights and have been doing 19s since vanilla, i believe that this all happened a while ago and the main people being accused are no longer participating in DDosing, Now i am a religious person and believe in the ability to repent and if they are willing to stop and it no longer happens then i really dont see the problem with them playing in the tournament as long as this doesnt keep happening.

Before the pole was removed I saw 17 for no and 4 for yes. So with that being said I believe the community has spoken.

What's to say they won't keep doing it? Is there any way to verify that? Their word is good enough for you? Something about once a scumbag, always a scumbag? Sorry, this isn't The Vatican and good faith isn't going to fix things. Is there even any way to find who's done it if someone gets knocked off via DoS during the Cup games?

Why are you so eager to have them punished as soon as possible? Your posts make it look like it is your goal to hurt team HARVEST rather than to find a just solution for this problem.
