I haven't noticed a "big" difference. A difference sure but every 29 I've come across so far has been "meh".

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the majority of 29s werent sitting around in BIS gear just waiting to que BGs and in fact, most of them are just in "meh" gear getting some kicks in before they get serious about the gearing process.

Probably, or they are in the middle of gearing and just wanna que some games to change the pace up. swp and other tbc raids have good gear but I highly doubt its all bis from there.

Perhaps but those I've inspected who had full socket gear and Spellfire still weren't that much stronger than me and I can beat them 1v1 no problem.
Getting better gear won't suddenly turn the scales so far that they become God, so to speak.

Sunwell gear, haven't gotten around to making spellfire set. I don't use saltwaters. Using some old flasks I had laying around for small damage boost. And wizard's oil. Had zerk buff once, and occasional arcane power.

I'm liking the increased variety 25-29's open up as well. Fistweaver, a dps-ing resto druid with a better healing toolkit, etc.

Ya that's what I mean though, 550 missiles with berserker plus flasks/pots/whatever is something you could reach as a 25 too.

Not sure if it is. But he was in 3-piece heirlooms and lesser gear at the time. Looks like he's been gearing more overnight and will be deadlier next time.

I find it interesting that 29 can proc epic to ilvl 35 and some of those cata gems (i think). Like mastery gems, I mean.

I dont think it's much different from TBC dungeon socket gear. I have some 70 stuff and thought it's not optimiszed, it was pretty top-tier drops from sunwell. Like the few things from the last boss that are just that little bit better...
I forget all that now tho, just looked over some toons last night from when I cared.
And that vendor glad gear doesnt look all that great either, just convenient. A couple main stat less on each piece.

Some of the pieces have incorrect tolltips like the brutal glad warlock dreadweave helm has 20 vers lol. Brutal rogue chest gives 5 crit 6 haste and 9 vers although the tooltip says 5

So just to shed some light on the bugged tool tips.
Spell Penetration and Spirit turned into versatility over the years, so for whatever reason
let’s say an item had:
5 Spell Pen
5 Spirit
‘now is shown as’
5 versa + hidden 5 versa that is visible when you compare a zero versa piece as +10 versa.
So it is mainly on the spell dps spec pieces where you will find this oddity.
I believe resilience rating ‘green text’ on gear was also changed to versa but socket bonus resilience, gems, enchants were changed to armor.
It’s definitely a hot mess and you should be mindful to take the shown stats with a grain of salt.
Edit: Think MP5 also changed to versa so Healing gear should also have the hidden versa.

On my basically fully built priest with full int/vers stacked gems I got critted 2.4k by a lock last night. Sure it wasnt one shot, but it may as well of been.

I don't think you should count broken classes as "29s are OP!".
I can do 4k crits on my 25 lock and I have fuck-all gear.
