Hey, here's a list (not sure when it was last updated but pretty sure it's current) of the farmable items that can upgrade.

Chops' video pretty much explains everything by a little TLR All quest items that reward green (uncommon) value gear have a chance to upgrade to either a Blue (rare) or purple (epic).

The items on the link are the items that upgrade from drops - Not all drops can upgrade.

You can check on the wow website and it will tell you if an item can upgrade (there may be an easier way to check):

Items that upgrade to epic are 12 ilevels above your average green ilvl .
So at level 20 an epic upgrade always gives you a 32 ilvl item.

Yeah that's a tricky one... i'm sure there's an easier way to search for items that have potential to upgrade I just can't find it.

I normally just type the item name into google and find the link for the old wow website. It somehow has been updated yet isn't a part of the new wow website...

When on the old style website you can't then search for items so it's a shitty way of working.

I've found it to just go to http://us.battle.net/wow/en/item/4446 and change the item ID

Turns out its me that can whip up said js!

1. Make a new bookmark called whatever you want
2. Copy + Paste the following code into the URL/location field

javascript:window.location.href = "http://us.battle.net/wow/en/item/" + window.location.href.substring(window.location.href.search("item=")+5).split("/")[0]

3. Go to any item on wowhead. You can click the bookmark to go straight to the blizzard guide for that item.

Its stupid basic, so using it on anything else will probably break. But I'm too lazy to actually write checks into a bookmarklet...
