M8 parents have no idea what they are doing in this generation, they don't deserve authority because they can't even command with authority.
I Think this is true, I also think that as soon as a child sits down at a computer any semblance of authority a parent has evaporates, children are raised by the internet these days more than mom and dad.

You know its always different with people, either i'm told I completely lack empathy and emotion, or i'm to emotional and kind. I wish people would make up their minds, its okay though, I've made up mine.

I've made up my mind after the first time I saw you debating someone. It seemed clear to me.

Richard Dawkins is a moron as well.

In Bizzarro World.

Well m8 I would argue that parents aren't teaching kids life skills, especially fathers, so they have to get direction online. If you were an effective parent you could easy control your kids and the internet usage m8.

Interesting, never thought I had enough patience to have a real debate on the internet, I get tilted and end up being passive aggressive instead of trying to prove my point.

Yeah I think the problem is multi-dimensional.

Na m8 its that Men and Women don't understand the roles and functions they play in raising a child. Most children today are raised in daycare and on the internet because of lazy parenting and Women neglecting their children. This feminist utopia has destabilized the family system. Single mothers up the wazoo, Fathers who can't discipline their children and lead with authority. It's a mess.

I admire your honesty. I gotta say though, there is nothing worse than a passive-aggressive asshole. No disrespect. My gay friend Kurt does that all the time. Or, I'll bring up something to him that's considered to be a tad controversial, and he'll react as if I just told him the "Your mom is like a vacuum." joke. Really wish people wouldn't catch feelings. Complete opposite of a healthy and productive debate.

No disrespect taken, I guess for me it comes down to how I see myself and the world, the older I've gotten the less patience I have, I consider myself a man of action and as George R.R. Martin once said "Words are wind".

I guess that is just the way of the world then, things wont change either, no use crying over spilled milk eh?

We'll have to agree to disagree, but as far as I know its okay to say "i don't know" instead of just taking a guess.
The problem is that you don't learn. Atheism is the lack of belief in god and there not a guess, it's the standard position to take considering the world isnt showing signs of one.

This happens each generation.

The "evils" of music. The TV generation. The MTV generation. The internet generation.

People just want to blame others for their own problems instead of taking responsibility for their own actions.
It is up to you and you alone to get your a$$ away from that computer and phone. Your parents can't be around you 24 hours a day.

/cheers

Let me just state, no intelligent atheist will say that they "know" that god doesn't exist. Nobody knows. It's that they believe he doesn't exist. That's all there is to it. Just as an astrophysicist may believe the universe is the only one, and there is no multiverse. If a person has reasoning backing their assumption, they are deserving of their belief.

A flat-earther nowadays is an idiot because he/she has evidence laid out for them proving a spherical earth, and the tools to test it at their relative disposal. But back before we had the science settled oh-so-many years ago, it was logical to assume the earth was flat because our perception of reality was different and we formulated hypotheses based around our perception of the world.

In the FAR distant future, we possibly will have the means of proving and/or disproving God's existence. We currently are not a 4th/5th dimensional species yet. But if we ever become one, we may be able to look all the way back to the Big Bang and possibly before that and see what was the catalyst. But by that point, would that not make us gods ourselves? If anything, god could be a biological or energy-based entity that is scientifically feasible to higher understanding, and we're the fools thinking it's in the realm of senseless magic and faith. An artist that made something, forgot to leave a signature and tossed it aside.

Or even the idea that reality is a computer simulation, and we're all self-replicating AI.

Atheism does not mean you believe there is no god, it means you dont believe there is one.
An intelligent atheist will not claim there is no god, but just as i say there is no invisible ghost in my room right now i say that there is no god. makes sense?
