70s were pretty good on PTR, haven't seen 80s tho, they might be even better.thanks so has anyone tested what will the better Twink bracket for pugs going forward, will it be 70s or 20s or still 10/11s just tweaks?
sad times, just geared another Twink.. why do we bother lol70s were pretty good on PTR, haven't seen 80s tho, they might be even better.
isn't that the million-dollar question?sad times, just geared another Twink.. why do we bother lol
because twinking is fun, regardless of our power relative to any given contentwhy do we bother lol
What gear would be best for a 70? Do you know if its best to have no gems, no enchants, low or high ilevel ?70s were pretty good on PTR, haven't seen 80s tho, they might be even better.
I feel that. I've done delves on my only serious 80 with minimal LFR. Zero interest in PvP, M+ or N+ raiding.im thinking of finding something else to do on a max level I guess not me forced to end game ;o
If you twink, you should assume you'll get nerfed at some point. That's just how it goes. It's also why you shouldn't delete any gear. You never know when it'll come good again. In DF, the meta was running WoD dungeons and praying for Warforged gear drops (ilvl 42/56 at 10 IIRC). That got nerfed to 24/29 so strictly worse than TBC dungeon drops. Now it's TW gear mixed with TBC dungeon drops. And SL gems used to be ilvl 87 minimum so they became available. Things change. You have to be comfortable with being nerfed.sad times, just geared another Twink.. why do we bother lol
So 70s are temporary until Midnight launches., which is probably in February of 2026 or so. The big boost for 70s was the Bismuth Lockboxes in the first week or two of TWW that drops ilvl 545 gear that 70s could use. It got "fixed" so it drops no longer. Existing gear remained unchanged and the prices skyrocketed. They're now way back down because people know the 70s are coming to an end in 6 months. What gear would be best for a 70?

I mean, endgame is also temporary. It's starting to feel like all twinks are temporary at this point. Between level squishes, ilvl changes that don't update existing gear, and the non-stop nerfs to anything good. I'm inclined to agree with Rosetwinks and wondering why we even bother :/
Oh, absolutely. It's a constnat game of whackamole. It's one reason why I refuse to spend hundreds of hours farming out slightly better gear for 10/11 twinks to get the right tertiary stat and/or the extra socket. You don't need it to clear PVE content so it's really for PVP (which I don't care about) or for bragging rights (which I also don't care about). It's starting to feel like all twinks are temporary at this point. Yep. Gearing in any season is a hamster wheel whereas mogs are forever. That's why you'll find so many completionists and many, like myself, just think about the latest raid tier "I'll clear it in the next expansion when I can solo it".I mean, endgame is also temporary.
Having to farm new gear every single patch, at least the twink changes don't happen as often.
It sounds like you took the campaign skip. There are two skips in SL. The first is the Maw skip from SW/Org. Take that one. The second is to skip the campaign and open up covenannts and WQs. DO NOT take that one if you want anything from SL. Why? Because it makes everything require level 50. Apparently Blizzard considers this a bug but it's been this way for at least a year and I imagine any fix is low priority.Has anyone checked the rewards for local quests in Shadowlands? I made a pass to select a Covenant, and my rewards now require level 48+. *PTR
Lvl 11 Fury Warriors spamming Whirlwind for 2 whole expansions now is basically an ARPG yeah hahaha. Reminds me of Charge build Barbarians with full movement speed in Diablo 3 lol!Time for my bi-annual observation that most of you seem like you don't actually like MMORPG game progression/design and would be much happier playing a MOBA or an ARPG

So if you want to gear a 70 to use for 6 months, be my guest. But go in knowing 6 months is all you've got.
IT really is like an arrpg, even on my 20s it kinda feels like an arrpg.Lvl 11 Fury Warriors spamming Whirlwind for 2 whole expansions now is basically an ARPG
So you've raised something that I have been thinking about.I lucked out, and had a geared 70 from DF S4 on an account that I didn't initially buy TWW on. That turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as it's been my go to for TW carries (being above 520 ilvl with proper stats / gems / etc.) So I may actually purchase TWW a few months before midnight launch and bring that toon up to 80 and max it's gear out again, just in case. It can't hurt.
