If THIS is indeed their plan, then yeah, it's gonna really muck things up.

instead of going live with the code equivalent of a Rube Goldberg device, joist trying to keep 11's from zerging through every TW instance

I don't get the reasoning behind these drastic changes, 80s only do this for the 5/5 TW weekly cache and even that its not a compelling reward this late in the season.

It was the boosting that vexed them.
You think: THey set up TW for players to level quickly, but when you don't play within the meticulously-drawn-Blizz approved, lines...

Nothing drastic, they are just increasing the health pool and damage of mobs/bosses in TW to adjust for the one shot fest it has been since the anniversary. It varies depending on your current item level.

It has been hard to test since its nigh impossible to get a group on the PTR through group finder, and you cant enter TW solo.

Most dmg comes from spamming broken aoe with lifesteal so while i understand that any mention of " Stat Templates " awakens the entire echo chamber again, this changes hardly anything. New meta gonna form within a wekk and I give this all inclusive kumbaya spineless dev team 1-3 days before they bow before massive outcry of "this is 2 slow now" "everything too hard for leveling" and roll all of this back.

Real question is why would you even want to be in bfa timewalking? art direction of everything past mop is soulless, gears are forgettable.
Also gearing at this point is waste of time because of upcoming stat/level squish again.

I know it’s a hot take. But I think wow has to go fully character level-less and adopt some other kind of remix esque ilvl only power scaling system if it doesn’t want to have to repeat the SL and DF era character and item level reworks

Not too hot! I've been saying for years that character level is a vestigial relic of progression and wow would be better if they abandoned it

I think they said we would never go above level 100 again back when they did the first squish, that's the only I've heard about it.

I remember clearly a shadowlands reveal stream ion the gay fish stating that after 2 expansions there would be another squish.
I do not know if game still numerically breaks at ilevel 1300 but this expansion seem to end with what i750 ish.
If it is not next one then it has to be after Midnight. They go through 350 ilevel per expansion this days like its nothing. Numbers will get absurd again fast.
Beta will tell. expected it to start a month ago to be honest. all and all i wish i could upgrade heirlooms with sockets and never think about this shit again.

No levels has been floating around alot. Blizz even teased it in some stream but backlash on reddit was real. Humans are beasts of numbers and while i personally wish gear progression would be based of story lines completed and raids&dungens would upgrade things with stats&spells SoD style in the end majority of player base do no wish to see actual balance.

Maybe if squishes were every expansion and older characters always stayed level 50 while cap would always be level 60.
Having at least a clearly stated system where you know when to expect what would be nice. instead of this "felt cute, might delete later"

Well they boost badges counter. Still looks same to me.

if people had level 10 for more than 5 years sure call it twink.
But would all this current 10s/11s stay at that level if all of the sudden new meta was level 15?

level 1 are twinks.
level 19 are twinks.
level 39 and 50 are twinks.
old level 60s and 70s that got squished to 24/25 and stayed there are twinks.
level 20s are not twinks but rather a hole thing and state of mind of its own.
level 29s is what you call a fucking goons.

Not to be a pedant, but a stat squish is not a level squish. Theyve done what, a half dozen stat squishes at this point?

level 20s are not twinks but rather a hole thing and state of mind of it's own.

Basically too broke to afford a sub, in my case at least. Yet even after becoming a vet, I still sticked to it.
Tried branching out and trying different levels but im just used to 20s ever since Cataclysm.

Edit: I also tried 11s and 29s, ended up praying to Lord Jesus to forgive my sins.

Gatekeeping what level you consider a "twink" is just about the most cringe thing I have seen here....and I have seen a lot of cringe shit here.

A twink is any lower level toon that receives gold, gear, enchants, materials etc from a higher level character that would otherwise be impossible and/or extremely difficult to get on their own. Its pretty simple. Trying to tie it to the "purpose" of the twink or some antiquated relic of pvp brackets is weird, twinking exists in games outside of WoW. Notably Diablo 2 has a decent twink dueling scene.

10s/11s are absolutely twinks.
