Yeah it technically means that it should be able to scale down. The issue is that this only drops from those boxes now, which adds more uncertainty to the scaling. It’s so rare that it is hard to find evidence either way. I would say that if we see one for sale below level 21, it should be able to go all the way down to 15. We just havnt seen them scaled down.

Sure- a lot of scaled up, but knowing that GM abuse can scale them up taints the sample size of the number of “recent drops” if that makes sense.

I could find a guy with 5 of these in his bank that have sat there for years, and then bug them to different levels. Doesn’t mean that have dropped in the recent past.

As mentioned on “salt” thread, you can look up to see if items have a chance to upgrade or not. I looked up BVB and it says it CAN go epic. With this screen shot of an epic within an openable item, and the site saying BVB can epic, I have no doubt that BVB can indeed go epic

One full Gnomeregan pickpocket run takes 20-30min and yields 30-50+ battered junkboxes. I got lucky and found Blackvenom Blade as my first rare dagger on my 29 rogue alt after only 30-40 runs. It scales to req 29, ilvl 35, 12 agi. I have a screenshot, autolooted it though (because it’s faster when opening 50 boxes), I can post it on discord again if you want? Trying to get one scaled to 19/20 too. Good luck comrade!

Thanks for all the posts guys, I've been a bit away lately. But i am certain that it is possible to get a 19 ilevel 31 epic BVB it's just a matter of getting lucky. This theory just got alot more interesting with the chance of "titanforge" So keep farming one day we'll see it. I'll keep farming every now and then and then suddenly we'll get one. Keep going ! I've gotten every other dagger that i can get from them. So i don't see why i shouldn't get the BVB soon tm.

So let's say your this lucky, lucky enough to get it to drop from one of the boxes and then also lucky enough for it to turn epic. Then you would end up with this: Most importantly. iLevel 31 and 11 agility. If it's rare (non upgraded it's still very good) --> You'll end up with ilevel 25 and 8 agility. The dps is streamlined so that's the same on every dagger.

Still going strong on this guys, someday ill get it.lets hope it atleast goes epic when i get it. Whenever/if i get it i think ill make a proper guide on how to and how i did it. You out there trying to farm it. Keep going and for the love of god. Open it on a 19 or a 29. It will scale, i'm 99% sure of that. So dont even take the chance. I'm also at probably above 100k now. Latest noteable drops is an assasin's blade (19) and a blackfang(scaled to 20)

So friends of XPOFF. I have been doing this on and off since i made this post several years ago. and today it finally happened. i looted the precious BVB! I looted it on my level 20 Rogue. after about 155k boxes. i don't have the exact number as i stopped counting. Surely a pain to farm this. Definately a cool piece. Sadly no proc to epic. But i'm fairly sure it can still proc epic.
