BiS

Each to there own. I don't disagree with BiS- I just disagree with how people are taking it too far so that it becomes more about obtaining this holy BiS word than the actual game
 
If you're not willing to get BiS then you'll never be the best. The best players in all brackets have BiS. Yes, gear does not equal skill, but the best always have the best gear to compliment their skill.
 
I don't think that people are "not willing" to get BiS, they just don't find it that important.

And "be the best"? Yeah well Gl on deciding who's best. ^^

World of Warcraft's whole methology revolves around striving to obtain the best possible items at your current level.



If you disregard that then you're just ignorant.



If you "can't be asked" or "choose" not to try for BiS, you're just kidding yourself; aswell as gimping yourself.



If you enjoy the feeling of being an "underdog", then you're trying to obtain some sad justification for your lazy ass not being asked to put the "work" in. Work that takes little to no effort to obtain said BiS.



Sorry to be so blunt, just "I feel like an underdog" is a mad childish thing to say.
 
I find it endlessly amusing when other people who play videogames call other people in that GAME childish its a game, not really the most grownyp thing to do =).



But with regards to the topic. My opinion is "What ever floats your boat". If you get enjoyment form Playing in the nude thats fine by me =). just expect a quick and humiliating death.

I didn't say I wanted to disregard it. I just feel when people get so carried away with BiS, they lose sight of the fun of the game. You don't have to not try for it, just keep an open mind while playing

BiS twinking was just introduced at the time blizzard made locked battlegrounds. There was no reason to go bis all the way pre xp lock. You might wonder why they do it now and that is because people dont feel competative without bis gear. But even a semi twink can be competative and as long WSG is about capturing flags and not about killing other people there is still no need to go fully bis in theory. There are no rules that you have to be bis and there never will be.

the truth is now their is no excuse to not be BiS so if you aren't the only reason is laziness.

One of the best parts of twinking to me was always customization. I love being able to make my twink exactly to my playstyle. I could really give a damn about what people say is "BiS". I play my toons for myself. I think people should get over what others think about your gear. Your skill and the way you play your character will shine far about what your gear looks like.
