BiS Resto shaman

Healers don't need hit. If i did i could make a hit set. All we really need hit for is shear, but it gets increased hit anyways and doesn't miss even with 0 hit rating.

imo the shield is best in slot for resto shaman. Not every spec has to crutch on the skillpatch.

Same with Hpallys the shield is better even if HoJ has a small chance to miss.

Roll draenei and you'll be fine as far as hit goes.

While I would say it is less significant for a holy paladin, the eyepatch is just as good as the shield (if not better) for both classes, IMHO. You people keep suggesting that the shield is better, without stating your reasoning. Look at the numbers. With the patch, you gain HITCAP at the cost of 100hp. Pick which one you think will be more gamebreaking and roll your face against your keyboard which should have every key bound to healing surge.

With so many alternatives to the crutchpatch at so low cost, I'd honestly pick the shield any day of the week.

If nothing else try one. Dont like it, put in a ticket to change quest rewards.

First of all, GMs aren't allowed to swap quest items anymore due to people abusing it. And second of all, look at the numbers. "Low cost alternatives" has nothing to do with BiS. Just stop talking, this is all going to go over your head anyways.

First of all, wasn't aware of the GM part. Mah bad.

As for BiS, shield obviously fits this part. So I take it something went over your head as well? Or is there some kind of "What Earl says goes, no matter how wrong" clause I missed? If so speak up. If not, read before contributing, think before typing, and close tab before flaming. Mkay thnx.

The shield may be the best item available for that slot, but you have to look at the bigger picture. On my prot paladin I use redbeards crest + thaelrid's greaves instead of shield against the evil presence + foremans legguards. Yes, the BFD shield is better, but overall, you get better stats from choosing the legs. This is a similar scenario. While the Shield of the Stockades may seem more appealing, you have to consider how your stats will pan out in the long run, rather than in that individual slot.

While I agree with you hear earl, the fact is I still think that (keep in mind speaking spacegoat here ofc for shaman) their racial will hit cap you so in the end the benefit of LFH+ stocks shield will be better

Umm, no it won't? Draenei's free 1% hit is not cap. Spell cap is 4%, 3% for Draenei. They still need to get 6 more hit rating. The only other viable options for hit are Hovel Diggers Bands(2 hit), Lavishly Jeweled Ring(3 hit), and Drakewing bands(6 hit). Even with hovel and lavish, draenei are STILL not hit capped. Drakewing bands are the best way to hit cap as a draenei with LFH, and on Aerie Peak, chest farming is even slower due to mass competition. I spent a long time investigating this, while everyone who has refuted me has said a few generalizations AND FALLACY, and tucked tail when I pushed the facts into their face. If someone wants to tell me I'm wrong, come out with your guns blazing, because unlike 90% of the people on this forum I know my ****, and I'm not willing to back down until legitimate evidence can prove me wrong. Now, there's no concrete answer regarding the necessity of hit capping, but the answer should be obvious to anyone who plays competitively.

Uh oh, be afraid of big bad Earl!
