    Updated for 8.1.5!

I think I got the new numbers on all the enchants with updated scaling. Grabbed all the relevant ones at least (coastal surge, ele force, scopes, stats to chest, a few other weapon proc enchants).

Figured out how to grab spelldata from simc, so I could update proc rates on neck enchants and some more weapon ones.

Separated Caster and Melee weapon enchants (kept the full tab in there but hidden, lmk if you'd rather have them all together).

Added a tab for ranged weapons! Tossed in the raw damage from some quick flintlocke's woodchucker tests to give a rough idea of critter damage. Marked ones that can be applied to BoP and non-glitched BoE weapons.

Put armor kits in all the tabs they can be applied to.

Added an extra breakdown on movement speed, and probably some other things. Formatting etc.

I like the new layout. The "can be applied at your level" highlighting on the ranged weapons page is pretty hard to see compared to white though.

    o_O
I was never able to successfully navigate simc for proc rates. Can you explain how you got em?

I'll mess around with it a bit, wanted to start with it not super bold but it could prob be a bit more. Might tone down or cut back the 20 color a bit too.

Simc has a SpellQuery option to pull data. I'd seen it mentioned at some point, I think maybe from a discord conversation somewhere about azerite hotfixes. Most of the info is on wowhead too, but digging through all the random buffs and spells on there can be a pain.

There's a tab in the desktop client to look things up easily. Either I'm really dumb and looked past it for awhile, or it only shows up after you mess around with the command-line version (probably the former). I spent like half an hour figuring out command line simc to look things up, then noticed the tab right after I got spell queries working.

Luckily, command line stuff is my jam. Good to know where I can find something way more reliable than wowhead comments, thanks!

While not an enchant, it's worth mentioning that https://www.wowhead.com/spell=292362/embrace-of-gonk (the 5% runspeed Loa buff for Zandalari Trolls) stacks with just about every movement speed buff. So for zanda trolls shaman and druids it's probably the best Loa buff (a druid with minor speed, gift cloak, travel form + gonk loa has 157% runspeed).

edit: add feral afffinity at 45+ (or 34+ if feral spec) and you get 162% runsped in cat form and 172% in travel form

I did some post 8.1.5 tests on Shield Spikes after they got hit with the nerf bat if anyone in interested.
    https://www.wowhead.com/item=23530/felsteel-shield-spike 1 (only hits for 1 at lvl 20)
    https://www.wowhead.com/item=7967/mithril-shield-spike 4 - 6 (Ave 5)
    https://www.wowhead.com/item=12645/thorium-shield-spike 6 - 8 (Ave 7) [tested in bg, @29 9 - 14 (Ave 12)]
I'm still a fan of Shield Spikes (can't be bothered testing Mithril & Felsteel in a bg, unlikely to be better than Thorium).

Oh just found the spells for the procs on wowhead, looks like the numbers on scaling there match what you've seen. I'll (finally) fill that section out a bit tonight!

So in regards to all these enchantments. something like Greater Fang Inscription requires level 85, though I want to apply it to my 49 twinks gear. If it is a souldbound item I want to apply it to can I still buy the Inscription and have a higher level apply it through trade window? Or do I have to get a BoE and do it from there?

Without exploiting, the shoulder enchants can only be applied to heirlooms. Same for most leg enchants other than the MoP letherworking ones, which can be applied to a BoE without soulbinding it.

If you really want the exploited stuff, you can find instructions on the forums with a bit of searching.

Ultimately what I am wondering is if I have soul bound gear that I want to add enchants or inscribes to I have to do it through trade correct? Besides the obvious ones I can get from AH.

If it's already soulbound, then you're out or luck. If you want to use it on BoE shoulders or dungeon shoulders then you'll need to look up the exploit for it.

Grabbed the new enchants coming in 8.2! Looks like the ring one is an upgrade across the board. Probably adding proc details sometime in the next week or two. Will get some accurate numbers for the absorb eventually too, there's no way the 15k tooltip is right.

    Good stuff.

For ppl who just want to see the new stuff.
    • Enchant Ring: Accord of X - Secondaries
    • Enchant Weapon: Force Multiplier - Occasionally increases str/agi and haste/crit/mastery (highest is chosen)
    • Enchant Weapon: Machinist's Brilliance - Occasionally increase int and haste/crit/mastery (highest is chosen)
    • Enchant Weapon: Naga Hide - When you block/dodge/parry, occasionally increase str/agi and absorb damage
    • Enchant Weapon: Oceanic Restoration - Occasionally increase int and restore mana
Look at the ring/caster weapon/melee sections respectively in the spreadsheet. Note that Force Multiplier and machinist's Brilliance do NOT give verse - the highest between haste/crit (and mastery, but meh) is chosen.

Looks like the ring enchants will be the new hotness. I'm guessing the proc rates for the weapons are going to be fairly standard - in which case nothing really jumps out at me. At 19 and 20 (29), we have major healing/major spellpower that permanently gives 1 more SP than the machinist/oceanic enchants do - and I doubt the uptime is high enough for the secondaries/mana restore to make up for the slightly lower SP. It might work as a decent swap mechanic if you want to start with machinist and then swap to the pure SP enchant during the proc...but I think there are other better options for that (but really depends on the proc rate)

Guessing elemental force will still reign supreme for rogues. The amount of agility/AP is rather low compared to dancing steel or landslide. Would have to have a significant uptime to compare.

And finally the naga hide can only proc from block/dodge/parries. The wowhead scaling for the absorb is broken and stuck at 15000, but presumably its going to be a much lower number. If it keeps the same ratio as the primary stat scaling, it could be 400-500 damage absorbed - but we'll see. Its still rather hard to proc for non-tank classes - which are generally bad in pvp anyways. And crusader is still stupid broken at 100str afaik, so its going to be hard to top that for str users. So maybe useful for PVE vet BM monks/guardian druids?

Yeah, the weapon enchants definitely look underwhelming at a glance. The numbers were pretty good on the first PTR build, I don't think they lasted long like that though. Even if Naga Hide has a decent absorb (tooltip on PTR is the same as wowhead shows), it'll be really situational off blocks/dodges/parries.
