I wish I had taken a screenshot, but I played with another shadow priest named Brainwash who got 39 kb's and .... I promise I'm not making this up, but this player got really close to putting up 100k damage. I was just thinking, a few more minutes and she would have had 40 kb's and 100k damage, those are lebron james like stats. I myself had a stellar game, posting 25 kb's and got somewhere over 50k damage, and did some good healing just because we were lacking in that dept. Is she the best in the world? I don't know, but 100k damage... is kind of super fantastic, no? Here is her armory link: Brainwash @ Dreadmaul - Community - World of Warcraft - - the thing that really made my balls tingle ever so gently was her ring setup. I don't want to know how many times she had to run gnomer to get those puppies to drop, but god damn it's a lovely set, don't you think?

Sorry but Brainwash from Dreadmaul is genuinely one of the worst shadows in this bracket. Unfortunately his gear carries him to get numbers like that.
I don't know if you're trolling or not but although he has improved immensely from what he used to be (sitting above horde graveyard with gem-exploited gear pushing one button over and over standing still) he is still a joke to be seen. If he appears decent in any way it's just his gear - but sadly that's what this bracket kinda is.

But just so you know, that Brainwash is not the Brainwash I have played with. They are two entirely different people. Brainwash-Dreadmaul used to be Removed-Dreadmaul, the Horde Brainwash has always been Brainwash.

Hey guys, to the person who asked if I'm trolling, I just joined today and I'm too wet behind the ears to even understand why or how my post would be considered trolling, so the answer to that question is definitely no. I went back and checked my post, and, minus some colorful/ridiculous posy ("gently tingling balls", etc.), I can't determine what it is about the post that would indicate I'm attempting to bait anyone into an argument. That i was fairly impressed with the player's stats and borderline masochistic tendency (again, I don't want to think of how many gnomers he endured to get both of those rings) may be a product of my own naivety, but the numbers struck me as being much higher than average for a closed exp 24 bracket match.

If it's any consolation, I'm just looking around the forums for things to contribute to so that I can get my 10 posts in. I will bow out of this thread (hopefully with some modicum of grace) with an apology for unintentionally derailing the conversation if that's what happened. In the defense of the person suspecting negative intentions on my part, I probably should have taken more time to read the entirety of the thread before trying to take part in it.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the P2Play'ers for your support! Thanks to your generous financial support Blizz has made F2P possible. This 20-24 bracket is magical in the constant quick ques.
Playing a Fail2Pay has tremendously helped with the skill level of most players against such mighty P2P titans. This virtual dojo is a great gladiator training ground to take the PVP (F2P) skills earned and apply them in the other aspects of the game.

Honestly it takes a lot for a individual to stick out for being good.. i usually notice the ones who are very bad. Why i left off Spriest and Hunter.. hard to tell the good ones from great ones but can see the bad ones easily.

I've read through the thread, and I wanted to ask, is this US ranking something that the twinking community is involved in, like a kind of community based voting system that is all inclusive, or is it just a peer group of set individuals who do not represent the forums or community at large establishing their opinions in a jocular "we are better than you" fashion? I ask because, as a newcomer, having an official ranking system that is born out of something as benevolent and constructive as a community wide vote is very valuable, as it allows the newcomers a chance to know who the pros/ballers are and allows us to study their method in an effort to better our games, so forth. So, if it is the benevolent community wide voting system that I originally thought it to be, then I vote to have this thread stickied, because it has value in terms of newcomers being able to learn something. If that's not the case, then I would ask that the original thread post include something along the lines of "this is not an official ranking system on any level, it is merely the opinion of me and my small circle of friends, feel free to join in".

What classes do you consider "impressive" when they do well at this level? In other words, are there any classes, in your opinion, that MUST be skill based in order to do well in this bracket (to the degree that reliance on gear and skill spamming won't get the job done)?

Given that the competition is mostly f2p's, and that the average 24 is really bad at game, there is no class that really relies on skill to do passably well.
