But you and upswags, point is the same... " dey hard cuz we sez dat dey r".

Didnt specify, meant at higher level brackets

just got out of a bg with 6 alliance hunters 3 rogues, brain wasn't working correctly

That's another story mate. Thanks for the answer.

But the solution is not to remove them from the game cuz there are people that really play them because the like the class itself, not the OPness it has at the moment. The solution is to balance this game at least at the lvl it is balanced at 90. Atm, speaking of 20's, bracket is ruined by huge burst.

Sadly I don't think it will happen, low lvl pvp is ignored by Blizz.

Broken, methinks this thread should probably be locked now. It has derailed and turned into quite a bit of a flame fest.

So many misunderstandings, no time to try to make corrections.

Franciska, please re-read the post you keep referencing as me admitting that I'm wrong. You're not fully grasping what I'm saying. You're reading your preconceptions of my argument into my point. That isn't the statement being made at all.

Why are you being so rude? I have nothing against you, but you seem to be personally assaulting me from the very first post you made. The type of posts you're making are un-warranted by my responses. They seem personal, inflammatory, with the intention of causing offense.

I think that might be against the CoC.

Broken - Yeah you need to end this thread before people read these stupid opinions on definitions and then think they are true. I mean seriously. DICTIONARY DEFINITION CAN'T BE ARGUED. It's a fucking definition...........

there are still dumbasses out here who think huntards are complex? they arent even complex at 90, why should they be at 20? if you think multidot, arcaneshot spam and scatter at the right time ( OMG HE USES A CAST, SCATTER SHOT IM SOO SKILLED) then youre a FCKING huge retard. The only thing in this bracket which is easier then huntards are rogues.

Heard reading comprehension is hard.

blabla skill ceiling blabla skill floor blabla skill whatever, if you think huntards are complex because you have scattershot/pet cc youre far beyond being bad. youre superbad

edit: and its not hard to copy a few focus macros from the web lol. it is incredible easy to master the hunter class.

What dictionary definition?

The term skill floor and skill ceiling refer to the absolute maximum and minimum on the curve of F(Skill) = Strength

No more. No less. That is literally where the term originated in the context of gaming.

As I said above, and was misunderstood, anyone is welcome to define a term however they wish. If they believe themselves to be right, no one is going to be able to dissuade them regardless of actual fact.

The incorrect belief one way or the other will not make me lose a wink of sleep.

Have a nice day :3

Serious you all talk about sophisticated behavior but when i cite someone and want a reliable source which was written in the quote its not neccessary?
Instead I get flamed for my opinion.

edit: With your definition of reference everybody can make up stuff. Id like to quote myself:
Skill cup because oh I dont know how skillfull can ur class be with one hand bound to a cup?!
Drink up, mate!

edit: skill cup floor is just holding
skill cup ceiling is drinking while playing with one hand! Now thats skill
/irony

My question was directed towards upswag, who cited a dictionary definition for Skill floor and Skill Ceiling, when the terms themselves do not exist outside of a gaming environment. Or at least, never before have I heard them referenced in another way.

I do not have nor did I have any ill will towards you.

Edit: And re-reading Upswag's post, I understand now what he was saying. I thought his point was something else.

He's right, but there isn't a source that can be given in regards to Skill floor and Skill Ceiling. It's very old terminology that predates WoW or any other mmo game for that matter.

Mathematically it's very easy to express, as I have demonstrated twice now. The actual word definition is more complex.
