Assassin's Blade and Talon of Vultros

No, you shouldn't need to exceed the special cap. But without perium because we would much rather have EF, your still going to need to gear more towards hit than before.

I'm most likely just going to use BOA helm and shoulders then just use my gloomshroud. Won't use more hit than I need to.

15-30 damage, 11.2 dps, 2.00 speed, 3 agi, +1 hit.
I was never trying to say having more hit will give you more procs and weapon speed will give you slightly a lower chance of proc but more top end. Siked to hear your calculations. lol
Well, I'd need another weapon to compare it to. But I find it quite hard to believe that no other dagger has the same or higher WEAPON top end than 30, and that's what counts unless they removed normalization without me noticing it.

Since talon has such a slow speed it would be best for mut and ambush tho. Indisputable BiS. You gain 2 bottom end but lose 1 topend compared to using the BOA resil dagger.

Lejn you crack me up. You all have good points though. Everyone should be taking what has been said here and using that in thought of there own builds. With the variety of enchants it is going to be exciting to see the many different builds. However, if one thing should be clear... Talon of Vultros and Assassin's Blade will be BiS for Assassination spec. That's with normalization and RPPM in thought.

No point of AB because why gear over special cap? I'm going with heartseeker for the crit and i'm not losing any topend as well. I only lose like 2 OH topend but that wont really matter for mut at all OH doesn't hit very hard.

Thought I just saw this post on here but I refreshed and it was gone.

Does shadowfang spaulders and AB equal special cap as well?
and yes what is the speed and dmg of HS at 19?

Could someone post damage and speed of ab and heartseeker? Would be greatly appreciated.

Ab is 17-33 1.8 4 agi 3 hit
Heartseeker 1.7 17.85-33.15 3 agi 3 crit 1 hit
tail spike 1.8 17-33 4 agi 3 crit

I'm 99 percent sure vultros bis MH you gain 2 bottom end and lose 1 topend over the resil dagger. Would love your input on that.

My input: ToV is worse than all of them. How they compete between on each other depends on stat values, I would have to em actual testing for that. Before you tell of something about the total top end, normalized dagger damage is: (weapon dps * weapon speed) + (ap / 14) * 1.7
Only the actual top end on the weapon matters.

Then why does my damage go up significantly with a ToV which has 29 topend compared to a Assasins blade if I use in the mainhand. This means that ambush would hit higher with the ToV over the Ab. Am i right? I'm 99 pecent sure. Look at the ambush tooltip and mutilate tooltip its all about weapon damage. Look in the actual characeter pane. The damage goes up with ToV over any other wep because of its speed.

I asked you to look up 'weapon speed normalization', that's what this is all about. Special attacks are normalized to a certain speed, 1.7 for daggers.
Unless, of course, someone can post a source that it was removed from the game.
