When you killed him twice, did it also include the mage tagging along, or is it separate?

First attempt: I got him down to about 200 hp, then a Mage started attacking him too. I decided to inv him, and when we killed the guy, he received the Hellscream's Missive, and I didn't. Second attempt, I killed him from 903 hp to 0, all by myself. No Hellscream's Missive. Third attempt, I got him to about 40%, then a DK came, and killed him. I didn't receive the Hellscream's Missive. Note: I tagged him all three times.

Well, it's a new quest, too. So let me poke around. Some folks have already done the quest, so I know it's an active one. It may be a racial quest, The Front Lines, but I'm still not sure.

It took ma a while to figure this quest out too, you have to do the Gnome quest chain in Darkshore (contaminated crawler meat -through- the Cause of Contamination), the rescue 4 injured Night Elves quest and the Grimclaw Quest chain, then the Ranger will give you the quest to talk to NE at northern outpost, get the quest (Collect 10 Relics) then (6 Shaman Pendents) that should give you the (Shattering Arrowhead) you need and you get quest (The Front Line) go into Shadowspear Area and talk to NE party outside cave, you with get quest to kill the Troll Leader and loot the (Letter quest) to get (blue items).
Completed it on my lvl 10 gnome rogue, so its not a racial quest chain.
I know it seems a little much, the first time i tried it, i took short cuts and got nothing. Second time I did every quest in the area, and that worked.

There is no first quest on chain that i could figure out, i tried but couldn't narrow it down, Just do the NE nurses quest to rescue the injured, and the Ranger quest to kill the water elemental, that opens up the gnome's quest do his whole quest chain, then come back and do the 2 survivors quest chains (the NE spirit and Grimclaw) then you will get the quest from the Ranger to go north, the outpost in the ruins, do the quests the male NE on the left of group gives you, until [The Frontline] is given to you by the female NE on the left.
Running it on an alt right now, will post quest chain in a bit.
