So earlier on today I was running some level 19 BG's and mysteriously got disconnected from the game. After attempting to log back in I get the notification that my account has been temporarily suspended and that I should go to http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/misc/banned.html for further information. This gave me no information about why my account was suspended, so after talking to a friend I decided to check my emails and receive a message from Blizzard (personal information has been removed)

After reading this the only reason I can think of for them to ban me is because of the stat bug that came when 7.1 was launched.
 
So immediately after this I post a ticket trying to appeal my ban. After waiting 9 hours for a response I receive this reply from a GM:

World of Warcraft License Issue - Unauthorized Software Found These programs provide character benefits that are not achievable in the World of Warcraft through normal means. Such benefits include character automation (also known as "botting"), increased speed, teleportation, or running through walls or boundaries. These types of programs offer an unfair advantage over other players and supersede the intended limits of the game.

This completely baffles me, like how do they even come to this conclusion. Anyone on here who knows me, knows that i'd never use any sort of software that would give me an unfair advantage over others. I decide to open up another ticket and try again, this time posting some additional information.

I would like to know how this conclusion was made. I have no unauthorized software on my computer that would give me an unfair advantage in the game. Nor have I ever used anything to do with botting, increased speed, teleportation etc. I play level 19 twinks in World of Warcraft, and the only conclusion I can come to is that I have been reported by players unaware of what twinking is and have reported me thinking i'm hacking or cheating or whatever because i'm doing much better than they are in PvP. I don't know what else I can say in this matter, other than that I doubt that this suspension has come in under any serious consideration, and would like to see some evidence of these claims.

I'd like to know if anyone else has had any issues like this and how they got around to getting them resolved.
 
Our main tank over in my raiding guild got permanently banned during a weekend, due to apparently selling carries for money. Thing was that she's never carried anyone for any kind of currency, not to mention it was the first offense on an 11 y/o account; she was pretty devasted, to say the least.

Although persistence is key, she had to wait till after the weekend in order to get any viable / non-automated response. The goal is to get them on a phone call with you. Fortunately, the whole circumstance was a terrible mistake, the reality was that she was banned because she runs WoW through a VPN ( which heavily implied account sharing to Blizz ), not at all for carries. This was after being on the phone with support and having them review the account a second time.

But, the point to that story is that Blizzard support doesn't always correctly tell you what you did wrong, if anything. After the second review, our tank didn't really get much information besides account closure being a mistake, and that she was on a VPN. Hopefully, your circumstance is a similar exception!

There are false positives and some who get reported wrongly or out of spite, etc. But it is fairly rare that Blizz bans w/o good reason. They are not going to tell you specifically which cheats they're banning you for, so you can try to circumvent it the next time. Duh.

The denials of the OP are the usual I've seen a million times from HB users and other scripters/cheaters in RBGs, as well as raiders, some of whom have been among the top echelon of players right down to the lowest form of bottom-feeding, no-skill assclowns. This includes lag hacks, fly hacks, rotation bots, gold/farming bots, AH bots/hacks, wall hacks, kickbots, and pilots/carries/acct. sharing.

I for one am glad that you got the banhammer. Blizz would do well to swing it far more often than they do. In fact, they should do hardware bans and method-of-payment bans as well, and strip you of all accts. and items/acheives/titles on every toon you have.

So basically half the 19 Community. I see Threads almost daily on this site alone about ppl cheating, hacking, DDoS'ing, illegal Jumping, etc, in reference to other 19's. That's not to say nobody in any other Bracket cheats, but it seems to be overwhelmingly 19's doing it... Well, a handful of repeat offenders at least.

One thing I have observed is that many of the people calling out others on their age don't seem to be that much older than who they are calling out.
 
You should make a detailed appeal listing everything you think could have trigerred the ban and explaining why, for each reason, you completely understand how it could have trigerred the ban BUT why you shouldn't have been banned for, be polite and understanding, I did that after selling 1 Million gold at a time (transfering gold on another account to trick them) and lied like a mf in the appeal. I used that strategy because I remember one twink homie that paid a "pro" ban appeal writer, and he did it like that and it actually work.
Also, before the good appeal I did one shitty because I had no time to lose and it didn't work, so you can still do it
