Yeah, I was taking this thread serious and so far two staff have already started shit posting.
Haha there are different levels of severity, some playful comments like those above are not bad, imo.

1v1 me

I haven't posted in months and this is worth commenting on. I understand the mod's stance on creating a welcoming community. However; not everyone is delicate and scared off by forum trash. In fact, many, many people who are high achievers are drawn by it. Nothing motivates me to spend every free hour getting better at anything that proving someone's mouth wrong. I love it, and many others do too.

Maybe a solution if you don't have it already is a section where it's FFA that doesn't appear in the home page list of recent posts. My $0.02.

There's always been this attitude on our forums but it rarely translates to in game which is what matters. The amount of cliques and pseudo elitism (friendship disguised as "picking the best") that goes into the pick up war games is a great example. It's literally caused me to want to leave the bracket on multiple occasions. Asshats can talk all the trash they want and I'm game, but when you are forced to be part of a clique of those same asshats or you get excluded from those types of events then that's some thing that truly discourages players...and I've heard it from lots of others as well.

Your moderation of the page won't solve what I consider the real problem, but it may solve a problem that doesn't exist because it's getting blamed for the real problem.

I think that while this issue you mentioned and the one here have a lot of overlapping they are not the same, the goal here is to create a more welcoming environment on the website, In game will be in game, there is nothing we can do about that short of encouraging new XP OFF players to make guilds, I think the prepatch changes will help with this as well.

There are people like you who wouldn`t mind the toxicity, but speaking from experience there actually are people who do, and they`re the majority. It`s not like they`ll get scared shitless and go cry to their mothers after seeing it, but it does put people off and make them not want to contribute.

I agree with that. What about my point about the policy in general addressing an issue that may actually help activity and having an alternative structure for those of us who can take what we dish out? Meaning perhaps a separate forum for trash?

I agree with this, the website has thousands and thousands of users who do not post.

On a separate note on arena ladders which I just really discovered yesterday, a) will the records reset when legion launches and b) 39 is very active can you add it?

That's something to consider for sure, the first issue that comes to mind is Google Adsense, but I can bring it up in the meeting.

An environment like that could easily get out of hand.

Hey man at least he created some hype around that TC.

Good topic, hopefully the moderation becomes less lac because I'll see a perfectly fine topic and then after 3-4 positive posts you gey a certain 3 or 4 people who endlessly quote eachother trying to make themselves better than another. There's no reason, granted on some "debate" topics and the like it makes sense but it happens on almost every topic that 1 of them posts on they will have a quote war, more than anything those are the most annoying, although quite entertaining sometimes.

Edit: Also 19s need to stop being hostile to anything not a 19. You're not a special snowflake. Just get along with others.

Yes same priest. It was all coming together until a combination of a surgery and my career getting really busy meant I couldn't keep it together. We were doing really well prior to that though.
It's ok though; you and many others are still bitter about the Nasti/ZNG 2's pain train for hours nightly so I get it.
By the way like conq said that was good for the bracket and indeed I contributed a lot of money as did others which is why the cup was $10,000 that year as opposed to $500 this. Which is to my point, trash talk has its role too :)
