Just swap out my PCB for a diabolic-skiver and you're off to a fair start.
Ring of the underwood is better than executioners band.
If you're alliance, you have access to soothsayer's chest, which is better than Dalronns.
BOA necklace (Agi/stam/vers) is stronger than scouts medallion.
and use a sonic booster! Hunters are the squishiest class in the bracket. you'll want the extra stamina.
As far as tips, have different pets that offer different buffs. Farm up some high PPM 1hand weapons for when you duel wield & grab yourself a bow with incendiary ammunition enchant.
Edit: or you could just copy my setup and go MM. My aimed shots can critically hit for as high as 5,000 damage...on top of my weapon enchant getting critical hits of 3,000.

Your armory is exactly what I typed out, except with a different belt and cloak (I forgot to mention soulrender/serpentskin cloaks though)
