So because someone could attend an arbitrary date that the teams mentioned most often in this thread could not attend, (Which is very very short notice to assemble a team, might I add.) Then they win? I think that's a pretty flawed concept.
"I am banned and will be unbanned in a month or two" Is a pretty good excuse for not being able to play honestly.
If I could gather 9 other active and skilled players willing to play in 48 hours then I would. But I can't, so I'm glad someone else set some more reasonable dates.
Donate whatever "prize money" you have set up to the GG19 cause. Because having a "default" winner to a competition nobody agreed to or was happy with just doesn't make sense.
And to note, the 29 premade rules are different to 19 premade rules. They were copied initially but changes have been made, mostly due to the fact shadow priest is an actual class at 29 and balance druids are not as broken.

Fancy gathered his team over a period of a week or two, there is no "guild" and a lot of the members are busy with other things mid week such as exams. The weekend was logical time to choose, and it was chosen. Why you decided it was a good idea to leap in and expect people to be ready in 36 hours on a weekday when you yourself aren't playing is preposterous.
The irony of saying people should have a plan, and then forcing a situation they had not planned for or even seen as a possibility that could ever happen onto them is also pretty amusing. The weekend was the earliest you'd expect this to be happening. Not a Tuesday.

Fancy challenged whoever wanted to face him -> people with actual teams (aka not you) could contact him and they'd set up a date where both teams could play -> someone did -> they found a date.
