Are prot paladins viable at 29? I have a paladin with Deadman's and Skullbreaker still, so I figured I'd put it to use. Just curious if they can live up to the usefulness of other specs.
 
They are good, not crazy DPS but sometimes they can do pretty nice dps + the silence on avenger's shield is good against healers/casters.
 
is there much difference in gear/enchant for ret and prot that u know ? i'm not sure what to make, i wanted a holy pala tbh, but ppl do not reccomend it, no heals + low dmg ?
 
It really depends on your motivation. If you want to dps, then the gear will be comparable. If you want to roll prot purely to tank or FC, there's a surprising amount of dodge/block gear available. Champion loot bags and SM gear, etc. You can get a respectable amount of it after scaling, but I'm not sure how useful it'll all be since druids are untouchable FCs these days.
 
Oh ok Thx Persuasive. I want to dps only... lvl'ing as prot now. Any one has exp as holy btw ? I only came across one in bg's , who said he did mainly dmg instead of heals, but i can't imagen it's worth the gear for the amount of dmg you will do. (or heals).
 
Another question quick (can't make a thread yet) : As resto sham you go for haste i guess. Same for ele ? most do , but the one ele with most dmg i've seen, went crit (mixed with haste)... thx

I honestly wouldnt bother with crit for DPS unless its a lock.
Your choices are either versatility or haste
 
oh i see, and which of those is recommended for ele ? i guess haste is overal good , and for if i want to swicht to resto ...

and turtle , i see you have a holy pala ...wich gets me back to my previous post/question ...
