I think it usually takes about 150-170ish light leather if I remember correctly, medium leather I'd get a lot of to make backup armor kits. For pets I like a bird for disarm (or scorp), a wasp for the interrupt, a moth for a silence, sometimes a wolf is cool for the crit bonus to your team...
