At L1, being able to bail from a PvE boss fight or solo challenge can be extremely useful. This is because dying in fight, as we all know, can be very costly in loss of buffs. Most buffs are cheap, but imagine having a Rallying Cry of the Dragonslayer, Boot Flask buff, or other single use buff...

PvE is doable and tons of fun, but most L1's get into it for PvP action. I'll be returning to the bracket with my level 1 healer now that I'm finally BiS. If there's enough interest, I'll be starting up the PvE raids again. Last time I did this, we had up to 8 or 9 participants with some fun...
