Yea fact is the normal queues don't pop on my realm (wrong language realmpool).

Won't stop playing those until I have a big impact, big enough to change from a losing match to a winning one just by myself. Which is why I'll play WoW for some many more years...

I guess you're playing on German servers. Normal queues don't pop on French realms as well. That problem happened in WoD and still continues today.

Yea should have gone for english, but can't transfer pure f2p so rip.
I have some MoP ilvl 28 green chars on other active realms, to take a look into the bracket sometimes. Atleast no worries to oneshot some1 in epics

Yeah but to be fair the power gap has never been this big between a vet and lvler lol. Something was bound to happen and it did so I am not surprised. my 29 in mop was no where near the power of a 29 rogue is right now, hell or even a 20 rogue is now its pretty obvious.

Ahh the good old WOD days 19s in Germany was very well alive at that time. I was doing some 19s during leveling with enchanted heirloom and I got recruited by someone in their twink community. This introduced me to the 19s. Today I'm the last survivor from the group and German que times are completely dead on both sides. I can recommend to group up with someone from the EN realms and let them que for you. My average waiting time with it is 6-8min

I've just queued for BG. Time went up from 4 min to 10 min. It actually popped after 10 minutes. Worst experience ever. 29s everywhere in premade groups. Even though I'm fully geared at lvl 20, I couldn't do anything. I guess Blizzard wants people to just leave this game.

Epic Bg queues have always been something between 30min and 4h que time for me, not dead but needs patience, especially if it finally pops up, but is another round of wintergrasp.

Just make a 29? Honestly, this might bring me back to the game (assuming BGs continue to pop at a somewhat decent clip). More talent and class variety is nice.

Hunter will still pop people EZ, especially with Careful Aim crits. But other classes/specs have become more viable and interesting overnight.

The only real obstacle to adapting to 29s is an minuscule monthly sub cost. And if that small sum actually pains you, maybe take a breather and go get your IRL resources figured out.

I completely understand bliz wanting a bit of money off of us, as we’ve been freeloading on a game that takes resources to keep alive.

Well, the entire point of the f2play experience is to trial the game hoping to get them to sub... if f2play are stronger than most of the players (levelers) in the bracket, wtf would they sub for? Perhaps it is a cash grab for them to see the merit of subscription. And then of course to keep leveling... and buy the xpac... and keep leveling... and buy the next xpac...

Let's be honest, there's not a whole lot of incentive in the "previous" trial to actually SUBSCRIBE to the game.

To the people saying "just make 29s" you really think 29s will last more than a few weeks? The hardcore FTP players will just move on to achieve hunting/pve, the vets will do wargames on specific days, and random queues will die. Just like before there won't be enough 29s to support 29s only games and they'll die off (just like every x9 xpoff bracket has).

I don't think this change will kill 20s. I think it will kill random bgs for 20s.

Yeah, you’re likely right that the xpoff queues will wane as vets/twinks grow bored of constantly competitive games with no leveler stomping to give quick ego hits. If that happens, that’s on us for refusing to adapt.

If bliz did this intentionally, it certainly makes sense. Genuinely new players will now get a better sense of what leveling pvp will be like through the brackets. Getting wrecked by vet premades during their first taste of sub-level battlegrounds is not conducive to inviting new subs.

Getting more lightly rolled by other levelers with full enchanted heirlooms will still feel uneven, but will feel less disillusioning and likely inspire them to keep playing to collect their own looms.

A small addendum. This will kill random BGs as a source of anything but HK farming/begrudging achievement hunting for 20s. There are a ton of "weird F2Ps" and genuine new-to-the-game starter account players who will lemming que into BGs and they'll keep random ques popping. 29s will eventually settle into a "we get pops for 6 hours a day and the ques are 15-30 minutes long depending on faction balance" bracket.

There will be an effort made to organize wargames that will fail spectacularly and there might be a couple 2s and 3s enthusiasts who eventually peel off to just play arenas.

I'm also very excited for the eventual fracturing of the bracket between old GF'd 70s and new fotm rerolled 29s arguing over the sanctity of "their" bracket.

And 20s enthusiasts (both F2Ps/Vets) will be fine. Despite the dumbest people on the forums thinking this is a new development for 20s and the "first time we've been treated like twinks" or whatever, we've been here before. Multiple times. We're very used to being the redheaded stepchild of twinking. We just had a few years there where the same people who laughed at us suddenly needed our knowledge so they could keep farming levelers. Now that they dont need us any more, they've gone back to "just make a 24/29 whats the matter you too broke?"

And the wheel turns.
