My main 20 is a vet, and I've had that commendation since forever. She's done all 9 of those Lorewalker collections, and is currently at 19,320 / 21,000. I even had the panda rep boost when I did the 3 Isle of Thunder collections. So unless they've increased the Rep gains since I last did them...

It's unlikely it will survive the remix purge, but they may add it to the tabard vendor for those who obtained the skin. Either that or it will forever remain a transmog.
