EU+US Private Server section / XPOff server?

Cyclone and Hamcakeland were sick, very competitive.

BC or WOTLK in my opinion. Early cata if more are interested (with arena and bg-rating added )

Replace charge with an optional donation. Charge for vanity items. All donations go towards TC17 prize pool

All Donations would go towards paying the Host Fees (15$ a month) and the next Twink Cup. Stuff people would be able to buy would just be TCG stuff and Hats. (who didn't love the hat system on hamcake)
The server would be running on Wotlk. We could use your XPOff accounts to be your actual login on the server.

We would easily be able to collect over 10k$ in a year.

If we had Chap, Shamatix and all those great guys who helped get this Website up and running to work on this Server we'd have a god damn gold mine for the Twink Cup.

Well I know I will be going here for sure come legion! Really not looking forward to playing with random new peeps in pugs. So if it's $15 a month, is there additional fees? Much like the xpacs on retail. Thanks Mvq, if you need help with anything hmu and I'll try my best =)

Is that all Donations / Purchases will go towards the Twink Cup and paying for the Host, which costs us 15$ a month. :p

I have. Which is why all of the different private servers that have existed, and I've visited em, non of them have actually had the feeling of Wotlk twinking, something has always been incorrect. Usually a lot of things regarding what classes are stronger/strongest - damage, abilities, gear etc.

Maybe people wouldn't care much if they haven't played back then, but for all the veterans it'd be annoying. It'd be fake, basically. Which I guess a private server is anyway, but doesn't mean you should settle for any less than a direct copy of wotlk if you're gonna do anything "Official" :)
 
Private servers.. Good luck getting blizzards approval when things like this is discussed openly : )

I can respect that opinion, and you're right the values on Wowwiki are wrong.

Did you try out Cyclone? Apparently they had very close to correct spell coefficients.

Indeed. But since not everyone here plays in the TC I thought I'd take the time/opportunity tolet some know that there are current servers out in the universe that do have good twink brackets :)

Just letting you all know that while discussing private servers is acceptable, we still have not decided to allow them on the forum, and as such would appreciate it if people avoided promoting individual servers directly. I have nothing against private servers personally, but allowing this discussion to go on is not the same as a carte blanche.

Please stop advertising random servers. The point of this thread was for XPOff to have their own server for the Twink Cup prizepool, nothing else.

Youre missing my point lol.

I told you earlier I understood what you meant. It's a good idea. I'm saying for those currently viewing this thread and are disagrweing and who might be looking good for something else, i took the opportunity to let them know there are currently available options since this is a thread on the topic of private servers. I found it appropriate to provide them an alternative instead of juat QQing with you on this thread.

Did you understand this time or do I need to write in large fonts too?

It's against the ToS to advertise a private server.
