29 Legion Gear Prep Guide

It's the price we have to pay for a merger.

BTW real tinking will still exist in the 100-109 bracket. Grinding out max artifact traits will take forever but once you have them you will have a serious numerical advantage over non-tinks.

They planing on turning artifact spells or relics off in pvp last time i heard.

What is the point of changing everything to ilvl?
Xp in Bg's was the worse change imho....when we twinked a toon, we were careful not to go over lvl and had to time every quest properly. XP off just segregated toons and slowed bg queues.
There was some pride in building an awesome 19 or 29 twink. Getting your arena trinket and deadman's hand, fishing gear, librams, and shoulder chants........
Now....it's just ilvl....that will be soooooooo much fun.....
....sigh

would you mind making a lvl 20 f2p version and or lvl 20 p2p version legion gear prep guide?

I considered it, but there isn't much to write about. Other than the Hook of the Master Angler that you mentioned, and possibly the ilvl 100 rogue masks, f2ps don't have access to anything that surpasses the scaling of the bracket. In other words, everything will scale to ilvl 34, so it doesn't matter what f2ps use for gear. P2p 20s can use a few more items (specifically, the white gear), but they face the same issue.

The only thing disabled in pvp is the relic bonus (+1 to a certain trait). The relic item level boost to your artifact weapon still works, all your artifact passive traits still work and the artifact on use ability still works.

109 twinking will truly be hardcore. Once you get to the final 0/20 trait of your artifact weapon, each point costs you 300+k artifact power. And it gets higher and higher each time.

Then add in the fact that you can get ilvl 875 6/6 crafted gear in almost every slot when the bracket pvp ilvl is 792 or so. The advantage over non twinks is going to be colossal once you're BIS. I imagine there will be a lot of complaining.

What about the full 'Kor'kron Dark Shaman' Armor Set? that thing is insane Item Level.

It will be an item that will go into the wardrobe and "learned" since it is a cosmetic item.

Can I get the 'Kor'kron Dark Shaman' Armor Set unlocked on my main Shaman, and then use it as a transmog on my lvl 29 Twink shaman?

Sorry if I'm a little late to the game, but how much is this iLevel stuff going to effect stats? Does it affect stats? Or is it straight damage and health increase? Has anyone done BGs on PTR yet to analyze these stats?

I updated the guide with strongbox ilvl info. Other than that, everything pretty much remains the same.

I missed this question -- sorry for the late response. Ilvl affects all stats, but we're talking like a 2% difference with BiS gear. So, not much.

Does ilvl matters now ?
I have equipped two rings 60 ilvl instead of two with 33ilvl and nothing really happen with my stats on bg. Also with enchants, stats havent changed. Last thing is this flower offhand on 70 ilvl, it gives me nothing on my hunter when I get it in my bag. I hate this new pvp stats system :/

I updated the guide to improve readability, and included information about invasion gear and weapon options. This guide should help 29s much more now. I'm always open to input and suggestions.
