I support this thread. The current state of TI is at its Worst. From what we've seen, threads have changed and we can act on any manner we want. Some of us may be mature and some may not. I just do not like the threads at the moment. Believe it or not, Solipist really created this, which made the moderators/Myrm think that he was right, even though at some point they disagreed. Now the benefits from this :
1. The more traffic caused on the site, content doesn't really matter. The more money does the Administrator get, by this said- it allows him to produce more money so he could put his time and organize some more events for 19s.(His main bracket).
That is one of the biggest reasons why. But i would love to go back to Shane's way. He was all about the content and did NOT care that much about the Traffic.
I have tried multiple times to contact Administrators and Moderators only to have them NOT respond back. Because as we all can see, Myrm wants to do everything by himself and doesn't really take the Moderator's opinion in account.This can be proven by the choices he made on the Bracket Managers - The moderators/Administrators (Broken) created a couple of threads. And Myrm didn't really see/pay attention to the post. This is a problem on this Forum, and needs to be fixed.
I tried spreading word on EU servers to create accounts on Twinkinfo, and the response i got is: "There is NO way im joining that trash-troll site". Now i kind of feel bad about that, because on the past years- Twinkinfo has improved me so much, pug-10v10 wise. Pvp wise. Getting to know more about classes. Getting to talk to a lot of people. What Mods/Admins/Myrm needs to see is, Twinkinfo should be a place for Twinking information, not childish attitude. The content will increase popularity and more people would eventually join.

I no longer use this site. For years I shared guides, healthy discussion and gear resources. For me TI should always be an information resource. We have another forum for pure banter and no one uses it.
I would much rather there be fewer posts, less traffic and more information than pages of sifting through Agonist calling everyone cunts every chance he gets because he believes that's how you argue things. With pure banter instead of logic and reasoning.
Shane didn't play 19s, but he highly valued what I believe should be important... content... He had his rules that were strict and it limited a small portion of the community whom feels they NEED to be able to call everyone a cunt every chance they get whilst contributing very little information and rich content in regards to creating a larger twinking community.
This site is overrun by the 30 people whom have the mindset of "we should /afk out every noob so we can just play all star games with good twinks"
Shane's website was about creating a helpful, constructive and respectful community so as a demographic we could grow in numbers.
I have no use for this site in its current state as there are no longer any restrictions which has flooded the site with nothing but banter and very, very, very little actual information. Now would have been the time for Twinking.net as that site was created only to be an effective information resource and that alone... Something that I feel is crucial for growing as a community and regaining numbers.

The way I see it this site is a place for people to trash talk, brag, grow epeen's and occasionally post something constructive like an event for a bracket. Only reason I frequent these forums now is for entertainment.

And that's exactly what this site has become, a place for entertainment... but i'm not sure if i can even call this entertainment, i would call this immaturity. Not even fun.

Don't worry son, I got banned for a week without a single infraction because someone misunderstood what I wrote. And on the same page someone issued a death threat( one amongst many) against me and never got banned and that post never got deleted. Go figure...
Those days are long behind us though. It has only gotten worse. It is a free for all now practically.

Now, I can't blame Myrm for whatever stance he has taken on TI. It was his money that he invested in purchasing TI. I can only presume he purchased it with the intent of using it as an investment not as an expense. Naturally, I have absolutely no idea what he is doing behind the scenes. He could be anyone of these "new members" or he could be anyone of the "elders". He can do whatever the hell he wants to and we could nothing about, it is his website after.
What I do see happening is a few people are being catered to at the expense of the masses. And that is no way to run a business. And TI is a business. If he wants his business to continue he needs to figure out way to cater to the masses. Because in the last six months TI has had a decrease in traffic.

Exactly. This place will die if it continues down this path. TI is currently overrun with obnoxious kids who use this forum as a dump to create pointless threads and harass other users. As you mentioned, it has been incredibly hard to lure new members into the community due to how the environment has changed so drastically over the past few months. Unfortunately, I do not see this changing unless major changes are made (and some previously banned users removed). Overall, I'm pretty impartial to any changes being made because I doubt I will subscribe to WoW again and I haven't been checking TI that much anymore. This community has had its ups and downs, had some great times and I met some great people, but in the end I now have better things to do.

So because someone has had a TI account for a long time means they have no life? To get elder I believe you need to have had an account for 6 years and have 1000+ posts, that doesn't sound that hard to accomplish seeing as you have had your account for a little over a year turtle and already have 1000+ posts. Maybe it is you turtle that needs to get a life

Posts are extremely easy to obtain, 6 years are not

6 years is definitely easy to obtain, you could have created that account a long time ago and never used this site except for a few occasions. You are still in your teens I presume turtle so you wouldn't understand that those people might have started playing wow when they were in their teens and now are older, most of the people that have elder rank probably rarely play wow or visit this site anymore because they have better things to do with their life.
Edit: 1000 post obtained in a year vs 1000 post obtain over 6 years shows that you have spent as much time on this site in a year, as the other person has in 6 years. So you saying they have no life is funny.

No elder has gotten 1k posts in a year. Their all full of insane post numbers
