New Heirloom system (Blue Info)

Any plans on making PvP and Battlegrounds a more viable way for low level characters and alts to level from?
"Unfortunately, some changes we made to battleground rewards broke some of the biggest contributors to XP in low level battlegrounds. We're working on a fix but it may not be available until 6.1.

Our original plan was to use strongboxes at all levels, but we weren't able to get it done in time. We think this could make it a fun experience though."

Strongboxes: possible new gears with wod stats :D

Got beaten to it by Jib :(

Very exciting times indeed!

When do we get the new Heirloom system?
We are currently planning to have this system ready for patch 6.1.0.

my bags is almost full, got lots of DMF tickets multiple toons
but idk, i'll still treat this as "may or may not" be ready in patch 6.1
this is blizzard ya know.

Finaly, but when is the next patch coming out, anyone knows ? Because this is really exiting.

The question is if we should keep our 10 days free trial for 6.1 or not. We can always get the standard heirlooms, but the cloak, leg and head pieces would be something.

Does Blizzard still hand out trials every 3 months? I thought they stopped that during Mop, but I'm not sure.

My thoughts exactly. I don't have any guild looms or any other looms on my inactive P2P, so I would need that full 10 days to earn the looms.

There is a standard we uphold to, which restricts us from obtaining certain things.

All in all we need

1500 Helm x7
1750 Legs x7
1200 Cloak x 4

27550 gold :S

The first zone in Wod gives 600-700 gold including rewards, so I guess I will have to find another way to earn that much in merely 10 days.

My standard is to get my hands on whatever Blizzard lets me :)

Apart from that, the account bound boa's are a real gamebreaker for me. If I can almost fully equip new characters on the spot it might be worth it to create toons for the sole purpose of playing with mega short exp-on queues during 10-19. Trash the character at 20, rinse repeat. The fine level 20 twinks with AGM's and stuff can still be used for arenas.

I realise that this mindset doesn't fix the problem (it only makes it worse), but if the q times are still horrible when 6.1 hits I see no other way.

That's a good point, and many people share your views, but, there is a set standard for F2P, that most people uphold.

Actually, F2P "purity" (having an F2P that is not linked to a paid account, whether active or inactive) is quite a minority. I did a comprehensive survey about this very topic several months back. So "most people" do not in fact uphold the "standard" you're proposing. In fact it is very non-standard: only a small element of the community adheres to what you're calling "standard"

I was actually referring to the obtaining of guild heirlooms.
