Not a big fan of "on use" (included in a macro or not) and not a big fan of cooldown locked trinkets either.
How I like my trinkets is visual effect and proc all the time, think loaded dice or even the siren's call.
Then you have big stats, like the dragonling paired with windmill if you just want stats.
But the most important one is the pvp trinket, to clear stuns. I never use it, I use dragonling+dice but I think I should.

I use these 2 when clearing normal PVE content and sometimes accidentally leave it on in a BG. Every time I have the dice on, I really miss being able to clear a pally stun while they heal or something.
But when I switch to the PVP trinket I miss the increased DPS, especially when it procs, of the dice haha

Can I propose the ranged weapons of https://www.wowhead.com/item=160450/leadshot-heavy-rifle?bonus=6691 and https://www.wowhead.com/item=159130/captains-diplomacy since they can both proc a socket @ level 20 (I've got them both).
Also the mail bracers of https://www.wowhead.com/item=28170/auchenai-bracers?bonus=6710 as an easy guaranteed reward / socket until you are able to farm up the BFA socket bracers.

I have one of these on my 20 priest in the bank right now, sick weapon.
Myabe one day blizz will realize there enchanting scaling is terrible and actually buff staff only enchants to be on par with 1hander/offhand enchants. Big dream though.

I have personally tested a few of them out on my hunter against the PVP training dummy, multiple times. The leadshot heavy rifle I linked before has matched or beat the Dragon Slayers bow and the Guttbuster. Of course this is dependent on your current gear for which ones fill the stat gaps the best.With this gun being close enough to Guttbuster, I believe that it would also almost match the Gunblade in that case.
The leadshot rifle also has 4.7DPS over the standard 4.5DPS from most of the other BOP.
Oh and another one (I haven't tested this yet but it aligns to my points) https://www.wowhead.com/item=119412/balras-compound-bow?bonus=6691 can socket with the tasty combo of vers and haste.
I think having them on the list is beneficial, for a few reasons.
- F2P people have limited access to the BOE weapons. With the BOE being superior doesn't really matter if you (I.E. me lol) can't get a hold of them
- The different weapons have different secondary stats. This allows builds to be prioritized around whichever stats the user wants / needs.
- It gives different options for people farming a socketed weapons. It's nice being able to see the list and being able to try your luck on the options. 300 rezan kills might not get you the socket but the WOD rare might. Being able to pick up at least one of these could hold you over until you can farm the "correct" weapon for your goals
- Some of the ones you're thinking of removing might be higher DPS than the classic BOEs, in certain situations

Thanks for the detailed explaination. Now that you mention it, BFA weapons indeed have higher weapon dmg than the rest, which makes them pretty solid. I'll add Leadshot rifle as it seems like a competitive option. I won't add https://www.wowhead.com/item=119412/balras-compound-bow?bonus=6691&ilvl=25 as it has the regular 4.5 DPS and even with a socket it's not worth the effort. I understand that, if you get it with socket on the first try, it can be a valid substitution until you farm a dungeon drop or a BoE, but my goal is to add only final solutions which can be used as a legit endgame choice. Obviously the BiS weapons are very rare(e.g. vibro, boomstick, dusk blade, etc.) so I also add weapons that are close. That doesn't mean I will add any decent weapon. There are some that I still want to remove from there even though they're viable.
As for WoD weapons they have lower weapon dmg than their BFA counterparts and that makes them inferior. Hunter's ability damage before any spell modifiers or external modifiers(mastery and other % dmg increases) and versatility is calculated as follows: Avg. weapon damage / weapon speed * 6. Since all ranged weapons have weapon speed of 3, that means 1 weapon dmg = 2 agility. So WoD weapons don't really compare to BFA ones or some other high agility options like https://www.wowhead.com/item=39829/high-strung-bow?bonus=6700&ilvl=26 or https://www.wowhead.com/item=27640/hand-of-argus-crossfire?bonus=6700&ilvl=25 or classic BoEs.

So making a hunter and on this list you have "Cenarion Thicket Helm" as the top tier helm.
Problem for me is I cant find that quest. I go to the guy and he has no quests for me. I even did a bunch of quests to see if itd open up but no. Cant find anything anywhere how to get this quest.
Anyone know?

Go to cenarion thicket in terrokar forest and do the quests to kill moths and whatever else, then follow that questpath to firewing point and do those quests and then u get the quest.
