From crit chance to crit rating. What's that?

Crit rating scales with level so this is a good thing for us twinks. The lower level, the higher crit chance from the naxx enchants.

    Template
Level | 14 crit rating converted to crit chance
    Lvl 19 = 4.73% crit chance
    Lvl 29 = 2.47% crit chance
    Lvl 39 = 1.68% crit chance
    Lvl 49 = 1.27% crit chance

Can you use it on BoP items?

    - NO.
Meaning you CANNOT enchant it on e.g. https://classic.wowhead.com/item=10657/talbar-mantle

Reason why is because the item needs to be in the lvl 60's inventory in order to enchant it. You can not enchant it through the trade window.

Does the item become BoP after enchanting it?

    - NO.
If you for an example use it on a white (common) item like https://classic.wowhead.com/item=6579/defender-spaulders , then you can trade it to any character if you so like.

If you're a lvl 19 rogue, then it's highly recommended for you to use the enchant on https://classic.wowhead.com/item=5404/serpents-shoulders because it upgrades to https://tbc.wowhead.com/item=5404/serpents-shoulders (+9 agi) in TBC. Main reason to do this ASAP in vanilla is because it becomes soulbound in TBC, most likely on the prepatch even.

    Patch 3.1 + WoTLK

These shoulders get upgraded in WotlK if wotlk twinking interests you. Note heirlooms might be available until then and the naxx enchants will most likely be disabled in the entire duration of WotLK.

    Good initiative

Can these enchants be applied through Trade Windows?

As @Symandria said, the item needs to be in the lvl 60's inventory and can not be enchanted via trade window

Will add that answer in the main post

Gf'd toons were being sold for far more. Patience is a virtue and those who put in the work will get their enchants.
yeah, GF'd toons. Back when people didn't know that Serpent's Shoulders were going to turn to blue quality shoulders with +9agi. Not trying to argue, I just mean we all know what to do this time around and 40k gold is absolutely ridiculous to spend. Most raiding guilds will probably sell these enchants for 6-12k on average (maybe less) due the the fact that at 60, they are hardly better than the ZG enchants, which are astronomically cheaper and way easier to obtain, making the naxx enchants pretty much mainly for twinks.

I just don't want people thinking they are going to have to spend anywhere near 40k to get one of these enchants. Patience is a virtue, correct, the price will go way down after more kills.

So, as I understand it then (and let's assume TBC is a smooth transition from Classic for this hypothetical), if one intends to make either a Draenei or Blood Elf and use Serpent Shoulders, they will NOT be able to have an enchanted pair (unless WoTLK becomes a thing and race changes happen)? Aside from putting an enchanted pair on the AH overnight on patch day and buying them on the new character as a then-soulbound item (yeah....right).
