List PvP tier class for DPS?

ye at the time i thought they are god tier but then i lvl'd my hunter to 119 and saw how much better it is so i could update the list and put them on S tier and assa rogues on A tier actually, also i would put hunters allot higher. thinking either S tier or even god tier (the thing is, if u play MM hunter and u dont get hard focus'd every fight ull be above boomie's dmg. BM hunter u give in dmg for survival)
Either of the specs can get top dmg and besides SUV the other two specs don't have to work hard to do it. MM will top HKs easily I was messing around this morning one shotting twink healers lol. The drawback with MM you have to cast your main abilities Aimed Shot and Steady Shot even though it's uninterruptible makes 1v1 against certain classes a chore and 2v1 miserable but been spoiled so don't have to kite much if you position properly run camo and strafe correctly.

BM spec in my case I have alot of Mastery and traits/trinkets give me a bit excessive amount so ny pet in like a twink fury warrior I can control lol. I have sent pets inside groups of people and it ate everything it's very comfortable to play. The spirit beasts heals and buff are nice. You are a but tanky and people make the mistake of not attempting to cc pet while going for you dying easily. Running Wild protector and that with roar of sacrifice makes 1v2 sometimes 3 against non twinks cake if all CDs up you will tear through DPS. Even twinks wouldn't want to 1v1 or even attempt generally, I have gotten jumped by 4 non-twink dropped Basilisk and wondered how they disappeared so fast lol. Very fun spec to play and low risk even less so than MM because getting jumped or ganged up on isn't as bad to deal with at all.

SUV has been my main spec for Hunter since legion and I spent majority of time pre-patch playing it and during 8.0. Correctly played not even The other two specs could beat a Suv 1v1 easily if at all. Far as BGs goes as I said before they can top dmg charts really easy if you comfortable with the spec. I run with bird pet slow/ master's call, run Net, steel and explosive trap etc. So melee just don't do great against SUV 1v1 and as a twink you can chip away at people from a distance very effectively without having to mix it up. It is a very flexible class/spec with no glaring weaknesses specced right, with Mending Bandage/camo giving nice heals when you need it. Casters find SUV hard to deal with cause survival instincts can ruin lot of their DPS besides SUV able to get away almost at will doesn't help. And bombs make serpent sting and bombs make ganging up on SUV not with price besides as I said witj talent I run can easily leave people stuck in a steep trap, ice trap, Net, Stun, then can just disengage remove whatever slows on me and if they charge use gap closer just masters call cheetah away while my pet is slowing them whole times and im still peppering then with bombs and sting.

All this before even getting to Turtle, exhilaration and coordinated assault I have had couple people doggedly chasing me just to realize they don't have alot of hp(or trinket now) and SUV burst is nasty burst and can be used from a distance just fine also kiting people realize these traps on a short CD so when you do finally catch up can literally toe to toe them or keep kiting them whole bursting them. Very fun spec though I say MM is the most fun, I can say SUV is my favorite to play.

Hunter is all around solid in every spec and you will be fine without style of play you prefer with little practice. Honestly don't even check for twinks when playing hunter cause if it's not a healer or a premade group of them you won't have a lot of trouble.

Nothing like it I have seen and all specs are fun. But MM is savage with their open ers and burst...make you laugh quite a bit. Can't wait to get anniversary gear.

i wanna get a 300/310 weap for surv and see how it goes, i like the playstyle just dont have a good weap yet :(

im on the fence between warrior and ret paly. at 29,99 and 110 ret smashes face so im expecting it does the same at 119.

Ret is insane at 119. Massive burst and more lives than a litter of kittens...

I have gotten several 310s in TW dungeons. Anniversary gear has higher ilvl items got a higher ilvl drops.

you’re preaching to the choir friend. did my anniversary dragon kills and got some 333’s. of course some were AZ slots and no gun drop. some TW dungeons dont even have a ranged weapon in its loot table and you have to que using the random dungeon finder so many runs were just hoping for a 310 upgrade or a piece for an off set.
the chance for a decent upgrade from a quest is the only other option.

wish there was a pure mastery or vers gun. ive tried maxing other stats and still keep over 30% crit. can get vers or mastery up to 15% but not much higher. i like to min/max one stat like a glass cannon build but am limited to what’s available. probably going to go with haste since most of the drops from the anniversary are haste/crit.

sold! will try to get one to 119 for the next TW. can’t stand leveling so ill be in bg’s alot.
changed my mind. my loathing of leveling and not wanting to move up any paly twinks from other brackets.... plus im missing my first love. her name was cleaveage when cleave was a special. names has been reported every time i change it. next time i just might get a random one assigned.

ill be working my way up to 119 this week and will stay prot.

Sadly secondary stats aren't as in abundance due to scaling like 110. 119 has to do the best they can i almost see the edge with them being over others is their primary stats anyway. I wish i had a Tank at 119 but not to interested in leveling another alt either lol. Sure prot pally might be fun but heard they got nerfed.

correct. 119 to me feels alot like 29’s. same leveling type players in pugs with 5 man premades running through them.
playing a 111 vs 119’s is how i imagine a 20ftp must feel.

I feel like you're underselling shammies a bit mate. Even from a pure dps perspective (I'll get to the healing component later) enhancement is easily tier 1 if not god tier. I've only managed 300 ilevel (no TW) - so I can't even imagine what having dragon gear would be like. No, enhance can't match raw boomkin, SP or MM numbers, but it can get really close, and it's secret is that it outshines all of those classes in terms of spontaneous burst.

This thread has mostly focused on MM hunters, so using them as a reference, we can see MM has a very high surprise opening burst, but after that it's fairly telegraphed (still really high). Enhance has the potential for a huge opening burst but can also drop even bigger numbers at any time during the fight when procs align or when using Ascendance. Stacking up bloodlust, ascendance and any trinkets or racials along with your elemental and wolves is arguably the highest sustained dps available. Did I mention the 20% crit totem? It's like a buffet of steroids, plus if people try to lock you up during it you have the snare break/sprint power and the 40% damage reduction ability. So you can typically spend all 10s of that insane buff stack just obliterating waves of enemies.

That's pretty particular cooldown based dps, what about standard fights with no CDs? How does walking up and dropping 25k SS on people sound? With two azerite powers that stack up SS damage and bring down it's cost you will very regularly begin fights with a landslide proc and a 15-30k SS crit or double crit. With battleground factors I've hit 40k openers. Remember this is with quest gear only, so anyone can pull these numbers. Yes, an MM hunter can out dps you by a bit, but you will probably have higher kbs because your kill potential is so insane - you're a closer.

Now, let's talk healing. Self healing is ofc great, and keeps you fighting longer, with fewer breaks than most classes. But simply using focus target healing surge will make you and one other person nigh unstoppable. I usually run up to a fight and pick the lowest person as my focus, then as soon as I get maelstrom I drop heals on them while dpsing. It's a pretty thankless job because no one can make the connection that you are burning all the enemies down while focus healing, but it's damn effective. You do have to pace yourself so you don't blow all your mana and end up unable to self heal, but once you get it down you can even switch focus target mid fight and keep a whole squad alive - while out dpsing them. Just fish for landslide/SS procs while focus healing.

Last anecdote - no way can any warrior build out dps enhance - warrior is just too limited by movement impairment and honestly doesn't have anywhere near the on-demand burst.

So that's my pitch, I think you should take another look at enhance and perhaps adjust your tier list! Great discussion.

agreed that enh shammys are very good for offhealing and 1v1ing (insta heals when u have maelstrom) also the last part about a warr not being able to outburst a enh shammy..perhaps in a 1v1 but in aoe ull lose 100% to a fury/prot war, yes prot war that aint a typo

I hear you and maybe you're right, but like I mentioned, it's not the raw dps that make enhance so good, it's the kill potential and burst. There are plenty of classes who can stack more dot dmg or aoe, but few can match the finishing capabilities. That being said, I'm not trying to say enhance is the absolute best and we should all reroll, just that they are under represented and overlooked a bit.
