Shaman just suffers hard from stun anything can lock up a shaman that's a twink like DH or can counter there melee attacks with things like evasion. Enh shines when it can cut loose and keep swinging. But throw some CC on them hurts more than a little and sadly if you're not swinging your healing falls very short.

You're totally right, but stuns will rock any class. Some have a defensive or something they can use during but stuns are still the ubiquitous worst thing in the game. If you ask me enhance has a better time vs evasion and such powers than most thanks to stun totem, sunder incapacitate and lightning bolt you can still affect the target. Or just spend the time healing up and dropping totems and or retreating.

Yeah only issue alot of these classes with these abilities are high mobility classes or stun lock classes. Stuns rock other classes but these classes have mitigation outside a 3m Astral Shift lol. Feral can bear, thorns, survival instincts etc. Rogues are rogues lol. Mages are the devil catch 1v1 have temporal shield, barriers and ice block. Ret has eye for a eye, thousand bubbles and plate. I mean can go on when and unless you talented into lightning your dmg won't do much. Also, you can't build maelstrom can't hit target so no instant cast heals so you open to kicks.

Ghost wolf little underwhelming just leave you open to attack and not going to even get into how useless binding totem is against alot of classes or how easy it is to side step a cap totem. Don't get me wrong I like enh shaman but it has it's drawbacks lol.

Astral Shift is on a 1.5 min CD fyi. Personally I run earth shield, which helps during stuns and I don't have to worry about switching to wolf. Of course enhance has it's drawbacks, just like anything, but another strength which we haven't mentioned is the shaman's ability to purge. Purge can remove half the things you just mentioned in regards to other class' tricks, and it's impossible to quantify how handy having a shaman purging is. One thing you mentioned earlier that I can agree with is that DKs can really fck me with their stun chains, to the point where I've had an entire Ascendance ruined by their BS. Still though, the enhance kit is so deep, and the damage is still really really high, I think it's a contender.

I'm sorry yes Astral Shift is 1.5m, but i only mention it cause it is truly our "Only " defensive ability outside of whatever racial you may have. And yes DH, DK, rogues yeah quite few classes can screw enh dps. Ret can pop Vengence Shield, eye for eye and will hurt up much as them with full CDs against even geared twink enh has to work harder for wins.

Purge is nice has it's uses but Ret with half a brain will use DS and other two shield aforementioned and LoH if they get in a pinch. And shaman can't outheal Ret in a fight sadly plus their mana regen faster. Purge won't help against most defensive abilities Evasion, DH many Dodge mechanics, won't nullify Karma, won't stop 3/4 ret shield, useless against disperse, IBF/lichbourne, AMS/AMZ, hunter turtle, Arms Parry ability/Def stance, Iceblock though getting temporal shield is nice on and on though.

Also we can't lock mobility classes down in a 1v1 reliably either cause we don't have a plethora of gap closers and will need spirit walk to even attempt to catch most. Hunter trap binding shot concussive shot disengage there gone. Warrior heroic leap charge off into the sunset their gone more so if running barbarian. We have nothing keep rogue from clos vanishing, and nothing in all the world will annoy you more than chasing a ww monk. And considering you're 9/10 will have to waste trinket trying to chase one down cause they liable to fear, paralysis, stun, etc then run or you run into trap or cap totem or another shaman purging ghost wolf using binding/ cap totem alot of time you wiser letting them go. Or a druid and power shifting off into sunset.

I want to say I really like Enh it's decent class but the amount mechanics that work against it sometimes can be a bit frustrating. You have to be pretty skilled to excel with it and this coming from someone who can top dmg in BGs pretty regularly as enh. I don't want to stir anyone from it but good to know some of the drawbacks before someone thinks they going to cakewalk people with it cause they seen someone else do it.

I've been very clear in not implying it's a cakewalk, and it has it's drawbacks, so I'm not sure what you're worried about being misrepresented. You present a bunch of examples of how enemies can get away but you never discuss how easy it is to catch and wreck people with ascension + spirit walk. You talk about all these CDs that enemies have, even LoH, so then we should also discuss how enhance fights all these classes with full CDs. Against a ret for instance with full CDs I don't see as much of a problem as you imply. I think they are fairly competitive 1v1 vs pretty much any class (demo lock might be an exception). I'm not saying a win, I'm saying competitive. It would help if you were more specific about the exact problem with situations you mention - is it that the enemy can run away, or that the enhance will lose? Very different discussions, but you seem to be mixing and matching as you please.

Never said you said anything about it being a cakewalk those were my words for people take it how they please. And no it's not mix and matching it is pretty generalizing certain situations the you run into on different classes. Personally speaking as I said i do fine on my enh and play every class in the game so it's not so hard for me to deal with these scenarios. I will let you shine your positive light on it and let people enjoy it for themselves. But fun class all the same just working a bit harder than others to excel at vs others classes who are truly cake walking top DPS classes.

Now looking at 110 twinks, how would you rate boomie, outlaw/assass, arms/fury/ all 3 mage specs?

only fire mage in that group puckers my starfish. id add in spriest and list it over boomy tho. hardest to kill are healers. druid, monk, sham, disc priest then holy paly in that order. its way more efficient to keep a healer locked out or cc’d the whole time then try to burn through hots and shields as a ret paly.

Fire mage is definitely nasty at 110! I wish I had never leveled my mage 0.o I'm working on a fury warrior and was considering a fore mage, or maybe an outlaw rogue with the legendary bracers and triple deadshot.

Remember that the Leggos are just stat sticks in iPvP though. I'm just going for the ones with the most stats while still leaving room for the dungeon two piece bonus.

But that changed in bfa? And instanced pvp? Or is that not the case?

I just remember the bfa pre patch doing bg's on my rogue where legendaries worked in pvp, and trinkets worked again as well.
