I recall a blue tweet (or maybe that PvP interview a while back) where Celestalon said pretty much just that. Blizz kept buffing AoH as a quick fix for endgame so would bet good money you are right.

The health gain on kill for Survival and being able to use Aimed Shot on the move will mean there will still be plenty of hunters. And with Hit going to Haste, those skill-patched focus dumps might be more often!

If hit turns into haste instead of crit, then ferals will be even more scary. Their white DPS will be in the 150-200 range. They won't be 1-shotting people, but they will put out tremendous pressure.

Noticed a typo in my post: IF hit is going to haste. I've seen more items go hit to crit, but this is alpha. Be interesting to see to see what DPR will be in WOD. Crit + haste ring would be awesome for some builds.

It's looking like hit is going to crit. If the item already has crit it will be haste. DPR used to show haste but the stats seem to be bugged right now.

I think all tank specs are getting a good boost, with damage on certain abilities increased.
All healers are likely to be OP with the changes to resil/BF.
Hybrid classes with a heal and tank spec will be OP in general.

The reason I think that is because a 25% nerf with no compensation would be an hard pill to swallow at endgame.

I think endgamers would scream till they was level 200 about it :p

I doubt all hit will be turned directly into haste/crit, Shadowcraft BoA's would become way too OP.

I think they've just made them more simple by giving them less buttons. And I have a sneaky feeling hawks damage buff will just be added into their shots.

It is, since hawk is virtually used all the time.

I doubt all hit will be turned directly into haste/crit, Shadowcraft BoA's would become way too OP.

All confirmed to be crit from now on. Agility loses bonus crit value and instead they will give all agi classes and specs a 10% crit boost base.

Now on topic, we don't know which classes will be OP now yet with all the different coefficients and base damage disappearing.

One thing you guys have to consider is that the WoD talent calculator isn't 100% accurate at the moment.

For instance, Affliction warlocks aren't shown as having Drain Soul (which, for those who are out of date at the moment, is being merged with Malefic Grasp). However, they still have access to their Soul abilities, meaning that they will need a way to generate Soul Shards. Drain Soul is the only ability currently available to level 20 Warlocks to do so. Thus, I can pretty confidently conclude that Affliction /will/ end up with Drain Soul / Malefic Grasp.

I'm quite excited.

I would so love to see warlocks get drain soul. Enhance and furry still seem lacking though sadly . Furry gets the double execute but when your big strike deals about half an auto attack I'm not that impressed. Enhance still lacks punch as well although ft wep damage was buffed .

All ya all are going insane with the mage prediction lol. Arcane looks ok but it's all pretty much the same. Don't get me wrong the new talent Evanesce is great and I'm sure a lot of people will want to try it out but the damage is pretty on par with what you get now... It's a great support class, I don't see that changing.

arcane mage will have some pretty decent dps spamming at 4 stacks thanks to the buff to arcane blast . small increase to cast time for more damage . while they won't have shatter any more i defiantly wouldn't underestimate one

Predictions are pointless at this moment. Blizzard is taking away some abilities, baking some into others or putting them baseline, changing damage scaling coefficients, removing base damage/healing, retuning secondary stat scaling, adjusting stats on armor and damage on weapons, increasing health pools etc etc. Everything is going to look very different and they still haven't released a public beta, much less tuned the numbers.

However, I expect hunters will remain OP, because of class design philosophy. Ranged classes have inherent advantage over melee ones, but in exchange, most ranged need to keep immobile while attacking (casting). Hunters by design don't have this limitation.

Sometimes I think that maybe the last time they tuned hunters damage at low levels was when hunters didn't get pets until 10.
