Your Opinion of 19 Monks?

What spec of monk do you prefer to be on your team in a WSG?

When you join a gulch, and see a monk on your team, what spec would you prefer it to be? Just curious on the brackets opinion :p
 
mmmmm.... good question young laurenti tink. In my opinion, i would prefer a BM/MW monk in a midfield situation, and a WW monk in O and D setting. Overall though I would probably choose BM as it has the most control CC wise and is a beefcake dps machine.
 
BM is the useful spec so I like those! The others are fine too.
 
Sneaky/Smitty make WW look appealing but I voted for BM..Tom and Xd are great examples of well played BM monkeroonis..barrels and that ability thats similar to a death grip are quite useful. And aren't we all trying to be useful when we play..

Mistweaver cuz impossible to mute and hard to go melee with all those roll and the anti roots. He can also keep easily alive heavy stack FC if he is not focused or CC'ed. It heal so much. But brew omg toolbox !
 
If it is a Windwalker, it is only good if you know the guy can play. Unexperienced Windwalkers ain't good.
Brewmasters are such a help with their slowings, but I feel sorry for the oppisite team.. SUCH A PAIN IN THE €%#E
 
There are so few monks it seems to depend a lot on who's playing. There seem to be the most WW monks, and there's a big range on how useful they are. BM seems the most useful overall, but that's based on seeing the same couple of players do well.
 
No love for mist monks /cry

Unfortunately their heals are too dependent on channeling and are easily interruptable. (From a 90s perspective. Could be different at 19 cuz I never faced one). From what I last read in the forums, they're safe only when not targeted, but the mist is easily spotted and can cause them to be open for an interrupt when they get careless; this was before they got the new heal spell.
That reminds me, how's the new heal working out?

The problem I see is that even with the new heal spell, MW are still too easily/too quickly killed by 2 toons FFing them (compared to the other healing classes). They rely much more on other healers than the other healing classes.
