WTF r guild BOAs?

I saw them mentioned here, like I'm supposed to know what they are. Where is this info?

FYI, I'm not asking about BOAs. I'm asking about GUILD BOAs.

An addition coming out in cata, as guilds progress they will become available to the guilds members.

So ima have to be in a top raiding guild to get the best twink gear? I will quit WoW entirely.

It is not garuenteed best not only the fact that it's not just raiding. Doing shit like getting 525 cooking will add progression points.

b. Guild Professions

- Guilds that use guild currency to purchase profession plans will be able to share any purchased plan with the rest of the guild via a vendor and skill trainer. Guilds are also able to create guild heirlooms; these items bind to the guild so that anyone in the guild will be able to acquire them. Just like the normal heirloom items, guild heirloom items will also scale with level and will support all armor and weapons.

- Guild members will also be able to take advantage of being able to create guild-specific versions of items that require fewer or different reagents. The new reagents are purchased from guild vendors via guild currency, and there will be support for all professions.

- Heirloom items for the guild are expected to encompass every slot.

I don't think they will be customizable other than picking int/spi or agi/str sort of difference. I don't think we'll be able to pick 90000 agi 90000 stam 90000 str 90000 spi Equip: +99999999999 attack power +9999999999 health restored per 5 seconds.

i see Guild BoAs as the death of twink guilds. from the way i see it?....to possibly have the BiS gear, twinks may have to find top raiding/progression type guilds. there lies the problem.

i foresee twinks without top geared 81-85's that want in these top guild having to pay huge fees/ransoms to be in those guilds with their twinks (even if they own a 80+). fees that can be jacked up at will, or be booted

there will be no point in QQ'ing to Blizz they won't care. overall you will need to play your level 85 more, be involved and stay involved with endgame more than ever before.

I look at the new BoA ring and BoA haste tinket as proof that not EVERY BoA will be best in slot. Don't worry about it till it happens.

yeah, I think Riv is right.

Just because there is new Boa's , who's to say they will 100% be BiS.

Keep in mind, with Cataclysm, there is going to be a shitload of new quests that 19's will be able to complete with the luxury of having exp off. And undoubtedly, there will be new items available, that are ALSO not necessarily going to be BiS but will possibly just like these new BoA's be good variations to the gear we have now, enabling us to change up gear sets that have been the same for a long time, and allow us to gear deeper into different play styles.

again, haven't you thought of a twink guild actually attaining last level ?

nowhere have they say that to level a guild you'll have to raid at 80 !

from what i understood the guild leveling comes from its users.

exemple a guild running a dungeon gains XP toward the guild level, same applies to guild members donating money to the guild and all. of course this hasn'T been prooved right, but...

11. Guild Information

a. Guild Experience

- Players can earn guild experience through leveling, reputation ranks, boss kills, Battleground and Arena wins, and profession ranks. The top twenty earners from the guild per day will contribute to the guild experience total.

- With every acquired level, guilds will receive talent points that they can then spend towards their guild talent tree, which affects all guild members in the guild.

- Additionally, guild experience is converted into guild currency that can be used to purchase a wide variety of rewards, such as guild profession plans and reagents, vanity items, and talent respecs.

- Some Talents in the works include: "Penny Pincher" - reduced repair costs; Mass Resurrection; "Everybody's Friend" - removes reagent cost for raid-wide buffs; "Cash Flow" - increases gold drop rate from creatures/players that give experience/honor; "Raid Summon" - summon the entire raid instantly

- Heirloom items for the guild are expected to encompass every slot.

c. New Guild Features

- Guilds will receive a special guild news-feed that will show them updates on happenings within the guild such as achievements, boss kills, etc. Guilds will also have access to profession info for their members and more. In addition to these features, guilds will also be able to acquire a percentage of gold looted on boss kills that will go directly to the guild bank. Additionally, guilds will be able to invite other guilds to events.

- Guild Tax System - will be available so that a certain portion of the gold looted by every member will go into the Guild Bank

this is what was said about guild in the cataclysm faq.

so basically, the first 20 of a guild that will achieve different things will be making the guild advance level. so what i see from this is not the end of twinks, but on the contrary a boost to twink guilds and premade all together. PUGS will be less likely due to the fact that guilds will run things as a better option. the guild talent trees will help see that twink guilds get better then any one man puging.

back to experience, it seems that about everything can make it level including simple guild dungeon running. let's say we have 4 players in need to level twinks, one 80 runs them and there you got a guild running dungeon that will add to the XP.

to me it means that there won't be a need to be raiding all day long to get a guild at its best. and thus twinks could use that system to their advantage in creating guilds of twinks for premades. and since guilds will become more and more needed, it also means that PUG are less likely to happne. more premades = better right ?

i see Guild BoAs as the death of twink guilds Couldnt agree more, this is blizzards way of making twinks jump through the hoops to get BiS. They dont just want you to take on the task of perfecting your toons which takes MONTHS, but become a pve whore which requires daily log time/Raiding. Stuff like this is making me consider quitting, if my account wasnt shared id probably sell my 80 ,29, and four 19's that i have sunk too much time into already. QQ

Like I said above, There is totally no guarantee, or suggestion that these BoA's will become BiS, especially with the introduction of the new quest items in Cataclysm.

There is absolutley no point QQing this far out from Cataclysm, its probably like a year away or whatever. Twinking will just adjust to fit the changes when they come, ( If they are even that play-changing at all) like we have in the past.

We qq'd when Fishing Boots were taken, we have adjusted, We QQ'd when they took our patches ( Me especially :p ), we have had to adjust. And twinking is still alive,

What will be, will be.

i would like to state a rumor i heard, as the wotlk heriloom items will not have any effect on anyone over 80 thus these newer herilooms could possibly be scaled for 80-85 i could see this as a way for blizzard to not give out as much gear from quest rewards. and making these new boas having a level minimum

Heavens forbid people actually have to take part in all aspects of the game to get the very best gear there is.

/shock

It's even more amusing than the arena and raiders complaining that they either needed to pve to get dk sigil or pvp to get best weapons.

Where does this sense of entitlement come from? Why should anyone be able to get every item they want from just one small niche aspect of the game? Why shouldn't someone who "competes" in every aspect of the game get access to better gear than someone who doesn't?

As for "death of twink guild" emo bullshit.. how about just stepping up your game and working towards your guild heirlooms instead of just whining how unfair it is on you that other people are doing this. If your twink guild has a WSG team of BoA twinks (not that unrealistic I'd hope) then you already have 1/2 the maximum number of contributing members.

If anything this will be a benefit to twinks. Any guild without guild boas prolly isn't worth your time, so go find one that's full of members willing to put in effort then go pwn the lazy scrubs who couldn't be arsed using your shiny new heirlooms.

Changes come and go; the good adapt, the rest QQ like spoilt kids.
