WTF r guild BOAs?

Hopefully most of us will have found something better to do with our time when this drops.

Heavens forbid people actually have to take part in all aspects of the game to get the very best gear there is.

/shock

It's even more amusing than the arena and raiders complaining that they either needed to pve to get dk sigil or pvp to get best weapons.

Where does this sense of entitlement come from? Why should anyone be able to get every item they want from just one small niche aspect of the game? Why shouldn't someone who "competes" in every aspect of the game get access to better gear than someone who doesn't?

As for "death of twink guild" emo bullshit.. how about just stepping up your game and working towards your guild heirlooms instead of just whining how unfair it is on you that other people are doing this. If your twink guild has a WSG team of BoA twinks (not that unrealistic I'd hope) then you already have 1/2 the maximum number of contributing members.

If anything this will be a benefit to twinks. Any guild without guild boas prolly isn't worth your time, so go find one that's full of members willing to put in effort then go pwn the lazy scrubs who couldn't be arsed using your shiny new heirlooms.

Changes come and go; the good adapt, the rest QQ like spoilt kids.

actually, those who QQ about leaving because cata will supposedly kill twinks without even looking at some others post just because they hate him... are more stupid then stabbems could ever be in a 5 life time span.

seriously, if you think about it, twinks already use guilds in order to make premades...

cata will only further more that ideal, isn't this what most of you actually want ?

oh right, you spoled kids only want to WTF PAWNED noobs that are level 10 wihtout any gears...

too bad that wont happen once cata comes in, and i think its going to be quite good for twinks !

i think when cata comes we'll see what true competition is all about.

i see Guild BoAs as the death of twink guilds Couldnt agree more, this is blizzards way of making twinks jump through the hoops to get BiS.

No, this is Blizzard's way of letting guilds easily level up that new pally tank they need for an encounter, or something similar. Pretty sure that most of 3.3 was made with little to no thought about twinks. They don't care if twinks get better gear, or if they have to work harder for it. The only changes in recent times that were totally made with twinks in mind were the enchantment restrictions and the separation of twinks and normal players.

What happens if you leave the guild? Do you lose the guild BOA? If that's the case then its not worth it for me.

The same thing would happen for BoGs as if you have BOAs and leave the account. You keep the item. Although I could see them making it so if you happen to leave the guild that item would then bind to the player so that you can't just get an item from one guild then be able to pass it around to anyone in your next guild.

To me it seems the guild heirlooms will work the same as the guild patterns they will be implementing.

Those will be bought using guild funds and you can just learn the pattern. And when you leave the guild and you have a guild pattern you will unlearn it and the pattern will automaticly be returned to the guild bank.

This seems to me to be a perfect way to also have this working with the guild BoA's.

actually they are BIND TO GUILD, not bind to account.

which means you cna have them as long as you are int he guild, if you leave the guild they will be returning to the guild bank same with any patern for professions.

even worse, if you leave a guild with whom you had learn a few proffs recipes, you'll be forgetting those recipes.

i can't find back the source of this info, but i'm quite sure it was in the massive detailed info we got from the blues. you know that conference back then.

^ he speaks the truth

and tbh its the way it's got to be, otherwise you'd be basically rewarding guild hopping ("right I've got the best this guild can offer me, time to find another guild willing to give me shit"), as opposed to rewarding working together to improve the guild ("Yay that's the 20th person in the guild to max both their professions, now we've got access to the cloak of pwning" or whatever)

sry guys but it seems you need to work on your reading comprehension a bit, I never said they were BoAs. I was making a comparison. When you do an account transfer you DO NOT lose the BOA. I was also not saying that this is how BoG's will work, I'm only speculating. Hopefully you know what that means.
