WTB MOP wow account, without the newer expacs

you get the xpac automatically(irrc up to legion now or something like that)

that's not possible i dont think, like even f2p accounts these days are by default upgraded to WoD i believe

F2P is all the way through legion

What if you installed via an old MoP disk? Still will upgrade once it connects to bnet?

Yeah that's exactly what would happen. No matter what version you install these days ( I happen to have my old classic disks still), as soon as you connect to Blizzard's servers, it will force you to update to Legion.

Actually, it's worse than that.

EVERYONE'S client is automatically upgraded to the latest version of WoW (BFA currently). It has to be in order to be able to view BFA gear equipped by other players around you, understand BFA spell effects that affect you, etc. But if you haven't upgraded to the latest version of WoW, your characters are limited to the maximum level of the previous expansion and you're not allowed to enter the latest expansion zones, equip latest gear, etc.

Yes. I bought a burning crusade chest a few months ago and it upgraded to legion right away

Yeah i never bought any expansion after mop got allways upgraded automatically to legion when bfa came out and before to Wod
