WoW 20th Anniversary Event Update!​

Looks like we're getting updated sets and items for the 20th Anniversary this year!

New Events!!!:

• Blackrock Depths will return as a 10-15 man Raid (LFR, Normal, Heroic)
• Return to the Gates of Ahn'Quiraj Anniversary Event available (Starting at level 15)
• Classic Timewalking - Deadmines, Zul'Farrak, Dire Maul East & West, Strathholme UD & Live (STARTING AT LEVEL 10!)
• 2 NEW World bosses: Sha of Anger & Archavon the Stone Watcher
• Blizzard Employee Service Rewards obtainable in-game
• Warcraft 3 Race inspired back-pieces in the November Trading Post

Anniversary Event Revamp!

• The Event will occur outside the Caverns of Time, with new NPCs, Events, and fun toys.
• NEW Currency will be replacing Timewalking Badges for the 20th Anniversary Event: Bronze Celebration Token
• Enhanced T2 Sets will be available for Tokens:
  • Death Knight: Pale Rider's Eternal Armor
  • Demon Hunter: Netherwalker's Eternal Armor
  • Druid: Stormrage Raiment
  • Evoker: Earth-Warder's Eternal Armor
  • Hunter: Dragonstalker Armor
  • Mage: Netherwind Regalia
  • Monk: Eternal Battlegear of the August Acolyte
  • Paladin: Judgement Armor
  • Priest: Vestments of Transcendance
  • Rogue: Bloodfang Armor
  • Shaman: Then Ten Storms
  • Warlock: Nemesis Raiment
  • Warrior: Battlegear of Wrath

Anniversary Mounts and Pets!

• Baby Blizzard Bear - Reward from WoW's 4th Anniversary
• Onyxian Whelpling - Reward from WoW's 5th Anniversary
• Molten Corgi - Reward from WoW's 10th Anniversary
• Core Hound Chain - Originally available during the 10th Anniversary. Reward for completing the Molten Core LFR special raid
• Hatespark the Tiny - Originally available during the 10th Anniversary. Rare drop from Ragnaros on the Molten Core LFR special raid.
• Lil' Nefarian - Reward from WoW's 15th Anniversary

Some mounts:

• Enchanted Spellweave Carpet (from Wrath of the Lich King)
• Amani Hunting Bear (from the Burning Crusade)
• Frayfeather Hippogryph (from Classic World of Warcraft)
• Coldflame Tempest (NEW Anniversary Mount)

Overall, seems like a great update with a few great changes available for F2P as well!

I don't know why, but the mere second seeing that WC3 Orc insignia, it suddenly awoken the Doomhammer's Legacy ost in my mind. God, Warcraft was something else back then.

Datamining on mmo-champion shows all timewalking required levels being lowered to 10. Seems to include the raids also.

Though it says raids have to be started with NPCs in that expansion's area. So they might still be gated off to 30+ that way. Won't know until people test it on the PTR.

They cleaned up the post since then. It had timewalking listed for every expansion being lowered to 10. They probably thought that was redundant and left only one under the holiday section showing it being lowered to 10.

Yes but our gear will probably be scaled to some terrible ilvl like my 30 when they do timwalking runs.

Timewalking event text was updated to list a minimum level of 10, down from 30 - 45, as well as scaling "dungeons and rewards" rather than "players and their items".

Even if they lower ilvls to give it some difficulty, thats better than not having it at all. Especially if it includes being able to do some raids.

• Challenge the past anniversary world bosses as well.
